Still Waters Church

Still Waters Church Christ-Centered, Christ-Loving, Bible-Preaching Church Still Waters Church is a place of love.

We are a family of believers whose lives were turned upside down and inside out because of Jesus. We actively seek to extend Christ's love to all of His people, simply because Jesus said, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

These people [in Jerusalem] just want to get to a place of sacrifice so that they can make atonement for sins for a minute until they sin again. And then they have to sacrifice another lamb another minute. But we have the perfect, spotless lamb that died so we didn't have to. And He rose again so we don't have to live that kind of life, making sacrifices to God to atone for our sins.

He's your Father - so wherever you want to talk with Him, you talk with Him. Just make it to be an authentic relationship with him. Not surface-y, God's not surface-y, He's deep, He's intimate, He's passionate, He loves us SO MUCH that He held not back His Son so that we could be reconciled to Him and spend all eternity with Him.

You have to have Jesus if you want salvation and eternal life. It's God who made a way by giving His own life - the perfect Lamb of God on the cross given for me and you so we can have eternal life with God forever. Now why did He do that? Because He loves you desperately! That's a message we have to keep telling but also a message we have to keep living outwardly!

What made Peter cry? When he looked into Jesus's eyes, he didn't see judgment, he didn't see anger. He saw mercy. He saw love. He saw forgiveness. And it crushed him, the same way it would crush you and me. That's the same merciful and loving Jesus whose arms are wide open to you today saying, "Come, come unto me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. I have the peace you have been searching for your whole life. Don't look at me and be fearful. I died for you because I love you and I want all of you. Not a hobby, not 'squeeze me in on Sunday mornings' - I want you every hour of every day." That's what the Lord wants of me and of you.

Jocabed used her time to instill in Moses a love for God shaping his identity before he entered a hostile, secular world. Think about that: teaching your children about God and a love for Him and about salvation equips our children when they go out in the world. If not, they have no armor, they have no way to protect themselves.

The words of Caiaphas are so true: That one man should die for the people. Listen to me - that's where our salvation comes from. Because of Jesus alone, His death on the cross, all of us will be saved. Because He alone becomes the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. One dies so all of us don't have to. And doesn't that make you love Him more today? He willfully did that because He loves you!
