Church of Our Lady of Kazan, Sea Cliff, NY The Church of Our Lady of Kazan in Sea Cliff, Long Island, New York, is a parish of the Diocese of New York and New Jersey, Orthodox Church in America.

Services are held primarily in English although Church Slavonic is used and scripture readings are in English and Russian. Founded in 1942 by the parish closely bound to the history and development of the Russian community in Sea Cliff and the surrounding area. In the 1920s this community numbered only two or three families; by the 1960s it had grown to about two hundred families and was served by

the Church of Our Lady of Kazan and two other Russian Orthodox Churches. For the Church of Our Lady of Kazan this growth was reflected in the church building itself, which began as a simple chapel in a small garage and has been transformed into a structure with dignified lines and stately appearance. Schedule of Services:
Saturdays: Great Vespers at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, Divine LIturgy at 10:00 a.m. with the hours beginning at 9:50 a.m. Eve of Feastdays: Great Vespers at 7 p.m. Feastdays: Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. Services during Great Lent:
Wednesday: Presanctified Liturgy at 7:00 pm. followed by potluck supper and education discussion.

Find some great bargains at Sea Cliff Garage Sale Day and visit a landmark all in one! We would love to see you at the Church of Our Lady of Kazan at 2 Willow Shore Avenue (around the corner from Tappen Beach, behind Sea Cliff Manor) on Saturday, June 6 from 9 am - 4 pm. Hunt through our treasure trove of household items, both vintage and brand new. You’ll be able to find everything from vintage purses and travel bags to glassware, canning supplies, a Keurig coffee machine, new blankets, towels, and shoes (if you’re looking for women’s Clarks and Trotter size 10, this is the place,) and men’s and women’s clothing (including vintage, a faux fur coat, and new plus-sized dresses). Looking for cookbooks, novels, jewelry making manuals – we have it all. Thanks to donations from parishioners, you can choose from beautiful artwork and needlepoint as well.

The Church of Our Lady of Kazan was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2016. Our parish rector, Fr. Paul Hunchak, who is Director of Visitor Services and Public Programs at another National Register site, Old Westbury Gardens, will be giving tours of the church at 11am, 1 and 3pm. Your purchases will help support preservation of the church building and our community’s charitable work.
