Enjoy St. Peter's Sunday Summary for Holy Trinity Sunday 05-31-26: https://youtu.be/E46HSC4dNOU References to the Trinity, the Triune God, Three Persons, One God, fill our worship liturgies. We offer an opening invocation naming the three persons as we remember those same words spoken with the waters of Baptism. We read the baptismal formula in Matthew 28:16-20 where Jesus gives the Church its mission to "make disciples" by "baptizing" and "teaching." Prayers often conclude with references to the three persons, along with "one God, now and forever." Numerous hymns conclude with a verse honoring Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, such as LSB 803 Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee. Even as creation points to a majestic Creator, the Bible tells of His unending love that gifts us salvation. We are children of our Heavenly Father, delivered from sin, death and the devil by His Son, and given faith and spiritual life through the working of the Holy Spirit in Word and Sacraments.

Enjoy St. Peter's Sunday Summary for Pentecost Sunday 05-24-26: https://youtu.be/o6y59O0mHNI Pentecost reveals the birthing of new life through the work of the Holy Spirit. With the message of the Gospel of Jesus, His life, His death, His resurrection, and His ascension, the Spirit gifts believers with new birth through faith and a life honoring God through the reception of forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life. As those believers gather together, beginning on Pentecost, the New Testamenet Church arises to serve as the agency through which salvation through Jesus reaches out to us and to the world, through Word and Sacraments. As we review LSB 496 "Holy Spirit, Light Divine," we find the full working of the Spirit to "call, gather, enlighten, and sanctify us, and the whole Church," through faith in Jesus.

Enjoy St. Peter's Sunday Summary for the Seventh Sunday of Easter 05-17-26: https://youtu.be/RdCICpOdHN0 The final Sunday of the Easter season follows the celebration of the Ascension of our Lord Jesus, forty days after the resurrection. We review Acts 1 which reveals another step in the fullfillment of God's plan for our salvation. As we confess in our creeds, Jesus ascends and will come again on the Day of Judgment to receive His faithful followers into eternal glory in heaven. As we await that day we read of a God-directed replacement for the loss of disciple Judas and our calling to witness to the truth of the death, resurrection, ascension, and future visible return of Jesus, our Savior. Reminder: Sunday worship moves to 9:00 am beginning May 24 through Sept. 6.

Enjoy St. Peter's Sunday Summary for the Sixth Sunday of Easter 05-10-26: https://youtu.be/d0pkgZvLV2s Lights help us recognize paths to follow and obstacles to avoid. Psalm 119:105 reminds us that "the law," that is, "God's Word of revelation," serves as both a lamp and a light to show us the way to salvation and the way to live our life giving glory to Jesus, our Lord and Savior, and serving our neighbor. Unlike earthly lights that may lose power and fade out, God's Word endures forever and serves as the power of salvation, rain or shine, day or night, offered to all people through the gospel of the risen, living, Jesus, the Christ. Reminder: Saturday Worship services begin this coming Sat., May 16th, at 6:00 pm in the Ed. Wing Chapel.

As an example, Psalm 146 provides a variety of reasons to do just that. As our 2026 graduates move forward to new ventures in life we can rejoice and "praise the Lord" that none of us walks alone as we daily live out our lives. With that in mind we can also sing LSB 770 "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" confident that our Lord is a constant source of help and hope for both current and all future generations of His faithful followers.

Jesus speaks of offering us a full and abundant life as the Good Shepherd in John 10:10. Reviewing the verses of Psalm 23 we can find numerous ways for our Lord to deliver to us abundant living both in our earthly days and in the future heavenly glory that awaits the faithful.

Enjoy St. Peter's Sunday Summary for the Third Sunday of Easter 04-19-26: https://youtu.be/-nGU1zNjRD8 How do you respond when you realize you made the greatest "mistake" in your life, for that matter, in history? That is the dilemma facing the audience that listens to St. Peter's sermon on Pentecost Sunday. In Acts 2:36-41 we find their response and the answer to their sin-problem to be repentance and baptism for the forgiveness of sins. Turns out their "mistake" in calling for Jesus' crucifixion fulfills God's salvation plan for them and for us.

Enjoy St. Peter's Sunday Summary for the Second Sunday of Easter 04-12-26: https://youtu.be/MHMc-grXLEo The resurrection of Jesus offers us results beneficial to our faith both in the present and for the future. St. Peter, witness of that first-century resurrection, details such benefits in I Peter 1:3-9. From a new birth into faith for daily living to one day receiving, at our own resurrection, the inheritance God has fashioned for us in heaven, having a resurrected Jesus provides a view of salvation spanning the test of time and eternity.

Enjoy St. Peter's Sunday Summary for the Resurrection of our Lord 04-05-26: https://youtu.be/zDA0eLQUqSg Fear! Your heart beats faster. Your muscles tense. You get a knot in your stomach. Your hands quiver and sweat. You fear what has happened, what is happening, or what might happen. Matthew 28 names two women who encounter fear as they proceed to Jesus' tomb. Their anxiety rises when they see the stone removed and an angel seated on it. "Do not be afraid!" Why? "He is not here; He is risen." Leaving with fear and great joy they encounter the risen Jesus. Again they hear, "Do not be afraid." Everything is ok. We need fear sin and death no more. Jesus lives! The victory is won! Alleluia!

Enjoy St. Peter's Sunday Summary for Palm Sunday 03-29-26: https://youtu.be/gWmcflCsyxg Humility often seems in short supply. On social media and in our daily lives we gladly point out failures of others and try to build ourselves up. Philippians 2:5-8 calls us to have the "mind of Christ," to think and act like Christ. The verses then point us to how the one who is the divine Son of God stoops down to live humbly in flesh and blood as a servant. The greatest act of His humility and servanthood evidenced in giving up His life on the cross for us. Join us this week in commemorating again our Lord's fulfillment of His servant role and His victory over sin, death, and the devil. Holy Week services: Maundy Thursday and Good Friday at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Easter Sunday Sunrise worship at 7:00 am with Breakfast to follow.
