Next Sunday (9/13) we'll be blessed by two of our own! Diana Cumbie Barnes will be ministering in song and Glennadean Dines will be accompanying her on piano.
It's been a while since we've met in the sanctuary but that's where the piano is 😊!
Service begins at 11 AM.

After service we'll enjoy a Pot Love meal together. Come prepared to worship, hear His word and share His bounty.

Somehow, many followers of Christ have forgotten this scripture. I pray that God's people will believe that God put this scripture in the Bible for a reason. I pray that His people will unite, that they will exhort one another, that they will encourage one another, that they will speak of hope and not despair. There is a reason we are to come together. If one member of our family is missing, we all miss them.

It was a wonderful service today. So good to see Sondra & Andy up from Texas! Diana led us on "A Happy Birthday to You" to honor Glenna's 85th! Cathryn brought cookies that were simply scrumptious! Pastor Linda sounded the Shofar and the worship was wonderful! The word and what God was saying to his church was shared by several different folks from different points of view. God is a jealous God and He desires all the praises of his people. So good to assemble ourselves together!

Today was a special time in the Lord..we were joined by a soon to be centurion! We sang some really old worship choruses but...somehow they never lose the power found in their message!

Darlene Atchison was able to drive to church today and we just couldn't hug her neck enough.

All of our folks are special in their own way. Not one of them could be replaced. Each has their own way of blessing others in action, word or both.

We missed you if you weren't there but we pray every night for each of you and I'm sure that Patty Hicks Osborn and Wayne Osborn can attest....PRAYER MATTERS. Patty is at home now after a quadruple bypass and we continue to give God the glory as He worked hand in hand with an excellent hospital staff! Thank You Lord! See u next Sunday!

UPDATE:
Patty Hicks Osborn has been moved to room 629 at the St. Francis campus in Topeka.
Per hubby, Wayne Osborn, she is doing well and on the mend. She has lots of support from family and friends. We want to thank all of you for your continued prayer(s) and support. You're the best!

I posted earlier but somehow FB land has swallowed it up so, here we go again!

I received word from Wayne Osborn this morning that his bride, Patty Hicks Osborn, has successfully weathered a quadruple by-pass! Saints, your prayers have made all the difference in the world.

The surgical nurse told Wayne that the operating room was filled with peace. Patty is in the ICU for now..no breathing tube..Praise the LORD!

God has been so good! His protecting hand has stood with Patty and Wayne and their entire family. Please continue to pray. Wayne and Patty have a ways to go but their family and the saints that support them will help to ease the journey. An old song comes to mind about now;
"Great Is Thy Faithfulness" !
Thank you LORD for your faithfulness to Patty and the entire Osborn family.

For those praying for Patty Hicks Osborn we have an update. Surgery is seen as successful and she is getting situated in ICU. They may try to remove the breathing tube tonight depending on her progress. Hopefully I am communicating this in the proper progression of things.

Keep praying for Patty, Wayne and the family, that perfected healing may be the end of the efforts of God and man.
Will pass on news as it comes.
