“FEAR” of God is misunderstood in scripture….

Most of us have experienced earthly fathers who love us. Our “earthly father” would never hurt us and would give their lives for us. But they also did correct and discipline us. What is one of the favorite mom saying of old times; “WAIT ‘TIL YOUR FATHER GETS HOME!!”…. And with that, we felt “fear” from our earthly father;a healthy dose of “fear.” This is the same with our Heavenly Father. We are prophesied to “fear the Lord.” But the fear of the Lord is to be a healthy fear; fear that our Lord has extreme power over us; to discipline and correct us, but more importantly has extreme love for us and would never injure or hurt His children….and HAS given his life to save us!

God’s Peace; give Christ a call….

“Fallen humanity knows that if we can do away with the Christian doctrine of creation, if we can do away with the very first verse of the Old Testament, then we can destroy Judeo-Christianity at its root and enjoy the freedom of doing anything we want to do. The attack on creation is fallen man’s attempt at a declaration of independence from the Creator…..”

The Rich Man and Lazarus

19 “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

22 “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’

25 “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’

27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’

29 “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’

30 “‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”

According to an AP article published today, “approximately 40% of Christians support abortion rights.” If you CLAIM to be a “Christian” and support, in any way, shape or form, the harm to a child, in or out of the womb, then you are nowhere near being a Christian, period!

“But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea!”
(Matthew 18: 6)

“Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”
(Psalms 127: 3)

A South Carolina woman who celebrated her 107th birthday last month delivered her secret to longevity: following God and the Bible.

“I do what the Bible tells me,” Adell Julie Thompson told WLTX-TV.

Born in 1915, Thompson has remarkably lived through 18 presidencies. She observed people during her early years riding horses and mules and has seen everything from the Stock Market Crash of 1929 and World War II through contemporary events — a true rarity.

“I had no dream of being 107 years,” Thompson said. “But the Lord spared me, and I try to do the right thing, I guess so people don’t talk about you.”

She’s a mother of three, a grandmother of six, has 14 great-grandchildren — and even has three great-great-grandchildren. Thompson’s family threw her a parade to celebrate her birthday on Oct. 10, and WLTX-TV sat down with the centenarian to understand her life and perspective.

While discussing her birthday, she kept coming back to God.

“I thank the Lord to have me to do the right thing until I do go,” Thompson told WLTX-TV.

Thompson is hardly the first person to credit her longevity to her Christian faith.

Lawrence Brooks was the oldest-known World War II veteran in the U.S. when he died in January at the amazing age of 112. And as his life was being celebrated and commemorated, friends and loved ones revealed Brooks had a secret to his longevity: actively loving God and loving others.

Then there’s Hester Ford, who died in 2021 at age 116. America’s oldest living woman at the time, Ford summed up her life goal as follows: “I’m living for the Lord.”

Finally, there’s Martha Bailey, who turned 100 earlier this year. At the time, she said “loving the Lord” is her secret to longevity.

“The secret is the grace of God living in me and me trying to live the best life that I could,” she told WUSA-TV. “The secret is loving the Lord.”

“Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.”

ARE YOU ALIVE?

One of the saddest realities of this earthly life is to be alive, physically, and dead spiritually….and not know it. One who is not spiritually alive, wanders down the road of daily life, always chasing but not finding the true secret of life; never finding the satisfaction, peace or contentment they desperately crave and search, no matter their social position, physical wealth or status. They search and search this earthly physical life, but none find life’s “pot of gold” until they purposely seek (or accidentally stumble upon)the SPIRITUAL MIND and HEART of life where their SPIRIT bursts ALIVE and where life and true peace and contentment awaits and truly exists. No one, ever, on their death bed regretted investing more into the Stock Market……. but so many HAVE regretted not awakening their soul. Give Christ a call before its too late.
