Delivered: Machzorim to the White Mountains! 🏔️

Out of the back of the car — which, honestly, is how most of my deliveries go. 🚐

A Machzor is the special prayer book for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The everyday prayer book doesn’t contain these special High Holy Day prayers — the High Holy Days have their own. 🍎🍯

And that’s why I want to make sure you have one.

If you’re anywhere in rural Arizona and can’t make it to a synagogue for the High Holy Days, I want you to have a Machzor. ❤️

And if you can make it to synagogue, but want to actually follow along and understand what’s being said, I want you to have one too. 🙏

They’re completely free.

✨️ A Summer Of Jewish Light ✨

Five weeks on the road with the Jewish Mobile Center brought prayer, learning, celebration and connection to Jewish communities throughout the White Mountains and Rim Country, from Payson to Eager. 🚐🏔🌵

Across the summer, the Jewish Mobile Center traveled 2,000+ miles and helped create a summer filled with meaningful Jewish moments! 🌟

🕯🕯 ~25 Shabbat guests joined for prayer, learning and meals
☀️ 30+ people came together at our 3rd Annual Jewish Summer Social
📚 ~6 students each week participated in the 4-week Sinai & Civics course
🤝 15+ new Jewish connections were made across the region
❤️ 50+ meaningful connections were formed throughout the summer
✡️ 10 mezuzahs were affixed to Jewish homes
🕍 15+ Jewish men wrapped tefillin over the course of the summer

What may seem like a small effort can make a big difference. Every mile traveled, every mezuzah placed, every conversation shared and every connection made helps strengthen Jewish life throughout the White Mountains and Eastern Arizona.

🌳 The Holy Wood Choppers Of Heber, AZ 🌳

There’s something special about working with your hands, being out in the beautiful Arizona mountains and doing it surrounded by Jewish community. ✨️✡️

As Carol put it, working here is “second closest to being in the Holy Land.” ❤️

These wood choppers are more than just getting the job done, they’re building community, creating connections and bringing a little Jewish warmth and spirit to the White Mountains, one load of wood at a time. 🪵🌟

✨ A Beautiful Jewish Discovery At The Gas Station ✨️

Sometimes, the most meaningful Jewish moments happen in the most unexpected places. ✡️

Today, Rin, a cashier at a gas station in Holbrook, discovered something life changing: because her mother’s mother was Jewish, she is Jewish too! ❤️

She received her very first Shabbat candles and is excited to begin exploring her Jewish heritage and joining Chabad programs in the community. 🕯🕯

What a beautiful reminder that no matter where we are in life, or where we discover our Jewish connection, there is always a place to come home to. 🏡🌟
