TONIGHT AT OROT — CHAI ELUL FARBRENGEN!!

Tonight is Chai Elul — the birthday of both the Baal Shem Tov, founder of the Chassidic movement, and the Alter Rebbe, founder of Chabad Chassidus.

But Chai Elul is also the beginning of something incredibly special: the final 12 days leading into Rosh Hashanah. Each of these days corresponds to one month of the year behind us, giving us a unique opportunity for reflection, preparation and spiritual renewal before we enter the new year.

Tonight we’ll come together for a meaningful farbrengen with food, learning, niggunim, l’chaim and connection as we explore how to use these extraordinary days.

And tonight has taken on an unexpected and very personal significance for us.

Our farbrengen will be dedicated l’ilui nishmat our beloved friend Claude Amiel — Nissim ben Massouda, who passed away this morning. We’ll raise a l’chaim in his memory and honor the beautiful neshama of someone who brought so much joy, warmth and life wherever he went.

A Hands-On Holiday Adventure for Kids

Rosh Hashanah is almost here, and we want our kids to feel excited and connected to this very special time of year!

Join us at Orot Geulah Center for a fun and meaningful afternoon designed especially for kids. Through interactive learning and hands-on activities, they’ll discover the meaning and traditions of Rosh Hashanah — and then roll up their sleeves to make and braid their very own holiday challah to take home and bake! 🥖

We’ll also have light refreshments and plenty of fun along the way.
