🔥 A sobering question every Christian should ask:

Do you love Jesus… or do you love what Jesus can do for you?

In a culture obsessed with comfort, success, health, wealth, and happiness, it’s easy to fall into a dangerous trap—loving the gifts more than the Giver.

Jesus did not come primarily to make your life easier.

He came to save sinners.

He came to rescue us from the wrath we deserve, reconcile us to God, and give us eternal life through His death and resurrection.

Yes, Christ gives peace. Yes, He provides strength. Yes, He blesses His people.

But the greatest gift Jesus offers is not a better life here.

It’s Himself.

Many people want a Jesus who solves problems, fixes finances, heals relationships, and removes suffering. But what happens when those things don’t come?

Would you still love Him?

Would you still follow Him?

Would Christ be enough?

The true test of faith is not whether Jesus improves your circumstances, but whether you treasure Him above everything else.

At Desert Bible Church in Scottsdale, Arizona, we are committed to preaching the biblical gospel—the message that Jesus Christ is worthy of our worship not merely because of what He gives, but because of who He is.

🔥 Francis Schaeffer once said:

“Anybody that names the name of Christ ought to be, as they look at this culture, profoundly angry.”

Not with sinful rage.
Not with hatred.
But broken before God.

The kind of burden that drives you to your knees and says:

“God, do the impossible. And if You will… start with me.”

This generation doesn’t need passive Christianity. It needs men and women willing to stand on truth when culture abandons it.

These are the moments leaders are made for.

At Desert Bible Church in Scottsdale, Arizona, we believe biblical truth still matters—and that God still transforms lives through His Word.

🔥 It really is this simple.

You are a sinner.
Jesus Christ alone is the Savior.

You have offended a holy God—but in His love, He made a way. The justice your sin deserves was placed on Christ at the cross. His perfect sacrifice covers your sin. His righteousness becomes yours.

This isn’t about good works. It’s about placing the full weight of your soul on Jesus and crying out:

“Please save me. Please forgive me. Please transform me.”

That can happen right now.

You don’t have to go anywhere. You don’t need to perform. The pardon is already offered—will you receive it?

At Desert Bible Church in Scottsdale, Arizona, we preach the true gospel—salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

🔥 What if someone told you the truth this directly?

A 16-year-old didn’t sugarcoat it… she spoke about eternity, sin, and the reality of Jesus Christ—and it changed everything.

Jesus isn’t dead. He is alive. And He is coming again.

Are you ready?

At Desert Bible Church in Scottsdale, Arizona, we preach the full truth of Scripture—clearly, boldly, and without compromise. Because eternity is real, and what you believe about Jesus matters.

Did you know the Bible says God keeps track of every tear you’ve ever cried?

Psalm 56:8 says, “You have taken account of my wanderings; put my tears in Your bottle. Are they not in Your book?”

In the ancient world, tear bottles were used to collect tears — often as a symbol of grief, devotion, and surrender. Scripture borrows that imagery to show something breathtaking: your suffering is not ignored. Your pain is recorded. Your tears are precious to God.

And one day, the promise becomes even greater:

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” (Revelation 21:4)

The God who records your tears is the God who will remove them forever.

In Luke 7, a woman wept at Jesus’ feet, wiping them with her hair. While others mocked, she poured out her sorrow and devotion. That scene points to something deeper — bringing all of our grief, shame, and pain to Christ.

Nothing you have cried over has been wasted.
Nothing has gone unnoticed.
And none of it is beyond His comfort.

Luke 7:36–50
Revelation 21:4

The gospel does not begin with self-improvement — it begins with accountability.

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

James 2:10 makes the standard even clearer: if someone breaks the law in one point, they are guilty of all of it. That does not mean every sin is equal in earthly consequence. It means that any sin violates God’s perfect standard.

God’s law reflects His holiness. To break it, even once, is to stand guilty before Him.

And a just judge must judge.

If God overlooked sin, He would not be just. If sin were minor, the cross would not have been necessary.

The reason the gospel is good news is because the bad news is real: we are fully accountable before a holy God.

But the same God who is just is also merciful. In Christ, justice was satisfied and grace was extended.

Sin is serious.
Judgment is certain.
Salvation is available.

Hebrews 10 confronts us with one of the most sobering realities in Scripture.

“If we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a terrifying expectation of judgment…” (Hebrews 10:26–27)

This is not about the believer struggling with sin. It is about someone who clearly understands the gospel and repeatedly rejects it — trampling underfoot the Son of God and insulting the Spirit of grace (Hebrews 10:29).

The warning is severe because the stakes are eternal.

“There no longer remains a sacrifice for sins.”
When Christ is rejected, there is no other substitute.

The passage ends with these words:
“It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Hebrews 10:31)

Scripture teaches that those without Christ will face eternal judgment under God’s righteous wrath. There is no early release, no commuting the sentence, no second opportunity after death.

This is why the gospel must be proclaimed urgently.
Grace rejected leaves only judgment.
Mercy refused leaves only justice.

Many people sing “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus” without knowing where it came from.

The hymn traces back to a believer who was told to deny Christ or watch his family die. He refused.

“The cross is before me. The world is behind me. No turning back.”

His children were killed. He stood firm. He and his wife were executed — but their testimony did not end there.

The watching tribe realized something powerful: people do not die for what they know is false. They asked to hear the gospel again. Eventually, an entire village believed.

That story traveled across the world. George Beverly Shea helped bring the hymn to prominence, and Billy Graham used it in crusades to call people to decisive faith in Christ.

Jesus said following Him would cost everything (Luke 9:23).
But He also promised that losing your life for His sake is never loss — it is eternal gain (Philippians 1:21).

This is what conviction looks like.
This is what discipleship costs.
And this is why the gospel cannot be silenced.

The Bible teaches something many people have never heard clearly: hell was created for Satan, not for humanity.

Jesus said that eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41). Hell is not Satan’s kingdom — it is his prison. He will not rule there. He will be tormented there.

Those who reject Christ and die in their sins do not join Satan in power — they share in the same judgment. Scripture describes this as conscious, everlasting torment, marked by separation from Christ, despair, and unrelenting punishment under God’s righteous wrath (Revelation 20:10; 2 Thessalonians 1:9).

This is not metaphorical language meant to shock.
It is sober language meant to warn.

Hell is misery.
Hell is separation.
Hell is forever.

And that is why it is right to grieve for people we love who are headed there — and why it is loving to tell them the truth.

This is Satan’s future.
And no one has to share it — because Christ has made a way of escape.

The book of Revelation delivers one of the most direct warnings in all of Scripture — and it does not soften the language.

The word translated “sorcerers” is the Greek word pharmakeia, referring to drug use and practices tied to idolatry, deception, and rebellion against God. Scripture repeatedly groups this sin with others that reflect a settled rejection of God’s truth and authority.

Revelation 21:8 is explicit:
“Their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Revelation 22 then draws a sharp contrast. Those who have been cleansed by God’s grace enter the city. Those who persist in rebellion remain outside.

This is why Revelation is not primarily about politics, speculation, or timelines. It is a gospel warning written with urgency: without repentance and forgiveness through Christ, people will not inherit eternal life.

This message will be hated.
It will be resisted.
But it must be spoken — because truth is the most loving thing we can give.
