We had a fun evening with an amazing spread of food. Our communication skills were tested as we turned our backs to our spouse, and each attempted to draw HALF of a picture....done solely through communication... it was difficult to pick a winner. We had part 2 of covering our home, looking at the doors we can leave wide open....reminded again, our homes are the most spiritually significant property God has entrusted to us. A great evening

An uncovered house is not a neutral house, it's an accessible one

The enemy is not afraid of a busy woman or man. He is afraid of a praying one. He is not threatened by your schedule. He is not intimidated by how much you manage or how well you hold it together or how many things you keep running at once. A busy couple is actually one of his favorite conditions because a they never stop long enough to cover what they are running past.

But a momma who prays over her home. Who walks through the rooms before the day starts. Who opens her mouth and declares what belongs here and what does not. Who stands over her children and her marriage and her four walls and speaks life into every corner of them. That woman makes him nervous. Because she has figured out that the real battle for her family is not happening in the carpool line or the school meeting or the argument she is trying to manage. It is happening in the atmosphere of her home. And she has decided to fight it there.

Most of us have been fighting on every front except the right one. We are exhausted from managing symptoms and never addressing the source. We are working harder and harder on the outside of our homes while the inside goes uncovered. And we wonder why nothing shifts. Why the same cycles keep repeating. Why the house feels heavy no matter how much we do.

The source is spiritual. The fight is spiritual. And the woman who understands that stops trying to outwork the problem and starts outlasting the enemy on her knees instead.

You do not have to do more. You have to pray more. Not longer prayers. Not louder ones. Just the ones that happen in the rooms of your own house before the day gets loud enough to drown them out.

"God, cover this house today before anything else gets a foothold in it. Cover my children, my marriage, every person who walks through this door. I am not fighting this in my own strength today. I am covering it in Yours."

"The enemy doesn't have to destroy your family overnight, he just has to distract you long enough for distance to become normal"

Some of what is destroying families
is not a lack of love.

It is a lack of intentionality.

You can love your family
and still neglect them.

You can provide financially
and remain emotionally absent.

You can preach to crowds
and fail to pastor your own home.

Scripture says,
“If anyone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God’s church?” — 1 Timothy 3:5

Your family is not an interruption to your calling.

They are part of it.

Your spouse needs more than your leftovers.

Your children need more than your public success.

They need your presence.

Your prayers.

Your attention.

Your consistency.

The enemy does not have to destroy your family overnight.

He only has to keep everyone distracted long enough
for distance to become normal.

Put the phone down.

Have the conversation.

Pray together.

Eat together.

Forgive quickly.

Fight for unity.

You can build a platform the world admires
and still lose the people God first entrusted to you.

Success means nothing
if everybody knows your name
but your own family barely knows your heart.

Build the house.

Protect the house.

And let revival begin at home.

We were so encouraged with the response, and interest shown in our study on "Dedicating Our Homes to the Lord" The room was filled with couples, grandma's and single led household's.... but all came with the same passion carried in their hearts; to see God's presence fill our homes with His Glory. It's so much more than oil on the doorway! All it takes is ONE man or woman of God to recognize that their home is the most spiritually significant ground God has entrusted to them❤ Moses was in a field, not even his, but God came..."take off your shoes, you're standing on holy ground"🔥 A special evening together.

Every home carries an atmosphere, and it is created by what takes place in our persoal lives and in our homes. It's as though the walls speak, they have absorbed every voice, word, and sound that's taken place, it's absorbed in those walls...what is the "native language" in your walls?
It is in this atmosphere that every member of our family finds rest, renewal, and personal refreshment. As husband and wife, we have the power to dedicate our homes to the Lord, and let our "walls speak" of the glory of the Lord.

Our progressive meal was an amazing fun night for everyone. We began with appetizers at the Bontrager's, our second stop for an amazing salad bar was held at Max & Kirstin Lance's home. We traveled back to Micah & Maddy Grammer for some amazing smokin' pork, and our last stop landed us at The Happy Critters Farm for dessert with Bryson & Rachel Stephens. Our chauffeur was Captain Larry, and overflow in a van. We can't say thank you enough to each host that went above and beyond for us! You did excellent!
