"GETTING OUR ATTENTION"
(GOD SENDS US WARNING SIGNS)

Scripture: Psalms 119:105; "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

A couple of weeks ago I was preparing to work on my Sunday school lesson. I had my Bible before me, I was seeking the Lord...(honestly..I do not use the Sunday school books..I actually use God's Word).

That being said, I was talking with the Lord and I struggled with what I wanted to share in my Sunday school class.
As I struggled, I knew it was useless..so I just stopped and I simply said "Lord, I've got to rest my mind." So I did.

Finally, 24 hours later I had my lesson! It all came from a scary moment a friend had.
While talking to this friend, she shared with me what had just happened to her.
She had been texting and driving. That alone was a no-no!

My friend went on to tell me while she had been doing this she had suddenly looked in her rearview mirror and saw blue lights and heard a siren! She knew she wasn't speeding, but she suddenly thought, "oh no! He had seen her texting!"
She pulls over, but the STATE TROOPER zoomed on passed her! She was spared!

As she related this story we were laughing, and I finally told her that was God's way of telling her, reminding her, that she should not text and drive. God sent her a warning!
God truly has a way of getting our attention. Sometimes we don't even realize it till it's too late.
A simple blue light will get your attention. God will protect His children no matter what.

I'm sure you have noticed the many warning signs such as; " CAUTION: WET FLOOR, DANGER HIGH VOLTAGE, DO NOT ENTER, DO NOT PASS, SLIPPERY WHEN WET, STOP AHEAD."
These signs warn us of potential danger. We are to HEED to these signs, if we do not, we can expect to pay the consequence!

God's Word IS "the lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path." His Word alerts us as to what is coming. He lets us know when are going down that slippery slope, or when we are about to fall into temptation.
He will guide us when we are too busy in our lives, too busy on our phones, and we don't see what is up ahead or BEHIND us!

God sends us the warning signs, but are we paying attention? We convince ourselves that we can handle whatever is coming, we GOT THIS!
Through His Word, God reminds us to take caution and be alert. How wonderfully gracious He is by speaking to us through His awesome Word.

God has so many ways of getting our attention.
The little things you would never expect.
Sometimes, we maybe in a hurry to get somewhere, you can't seem to get it together and you are running later and later, you head out the door, now your car won't start! When it finally does and you see you are going to be much later than you were before, but you come upon a bridge that had suddenly collapsed, if you had been there just 5 minutes before...you could have plummeted into the river below.
God put that hindrance of running around and your car not starting, He put it there to protect you.

Many people lose their lives because they did not heed to the warning signs or the alerts .
Many lives are lost because they ignore weather alerts..detours...sad but true.
God says in Ezekiel 18:32; " For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God; wherefore turn yourselves and live."
John 3:17; "For God sent not His Son unto the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved."

May God help us to become more sensitive to His voice and His leading.
Let us not be too quick to turn away from Him. His gentle nudges, His stalling us, prolonging our getting somewhere.
Let us put our trust in God in all things that come in our lives.
Let us be mindful of those warnings get in tuned with God and His Holy Spirit and allow Him to take care of you.

The Bible is full of warnings...from Genesis to Revelation. We are warned throughout the Bible that if we do not heed to God's Word..destruction will come!
Jesus is our warning sign. If we ignore the Son of God and the teachings of Jesus we will surely fall. We will be eternally lost. But if we heed to the warning and follow Jesus we will be on the right road to eternal life. We have a way of escape with Jesus Christ.

We too have been commissioned to carry a warning. We are to tell others of the dangers that are up ahead. We are to tell others to follow the sign of SALVATION. That sign is JESUS CHRIST.
We have got get out there on the highways and get the attention of those who have turned left when they should have turned right.
There are reasons for detour and exit signs...be sure you understand where they are leading.

God's Word warns us of the dangers and He directs our paths. We must pray for God's guidance daily to help us make the right decisions in our life.
Pray for God to use you as a WARNING SIGN to help save others from the danger the road blocks that Satan has set out to make them fall.

Don't ignore those warning signs. There is so more to this but right now, pray for God to use you to help warn others of the danger of living in sin. Turn right and follow JESUS.

Have you ever just sat and glanced over the pages of the Bible?
Possibly looking for that one verse that will "jump out" to you, speak to you at that moment?
That verse that will enlighten a thought you have, that will encourage you? Well, at this moment, between writing this and glancing, I opened my Bible and glanced the pages of Romans.

The verse that has caught my eyes is:
Romans 1:16; "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
Salvation is for everyone!

Romans 2:11; "For there is no respect of persons with God."
It does not matter who you are...what you do in this life, God loves you and He will be your judge.

Romans 3:9, 10, 23, 24; (9) "What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin.
(10) "As it is written, There is none righteous, no not one."
(23) "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
(24) "Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

It is a fact that we all have to come the same way to receive salvation. We can not buy it from some store, some peddler on the street. We receive it freely because it was " freely given," yet bought with a price.

You ask, if it was " freely given," then how was it bought?
John 15:13; "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
Jesus freely gave His life for us..but He had to die..our salvation was purchased with His blood.

Romana 5:1-8; (1) "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
(2) By whom also we have access by faith unto this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
(3) And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
(4) And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
(5) And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
(6) For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
(7) For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
(8) But commendeth His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

If you have a loved one, a friend that you know that needs Jesus today, let them know that God loves them. Tell the story of Jesus how He gave His life on Calvary to save them from an eternal hell.
Yes, you must tell them there is a hell that awaits those who will not accept the salvation of Jesus.
They must know every detail of what it means to give their life to Christ.
Will you be a light that will help those that are walking in darkness?

There is hope for the lost and hope for the weary..hope for those who may have stumbled and fell by the wayside.
Jesus has never left you...He is right there with you. Reach out and and touch Him, He is waiting on you.

So my glancing over the pages of my Bible today reminds me...to tell somebody that Jesus is alive and well. Share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Yes it has been awhile since any posting has been done.
Truly apologize for that.
Of course dealing with the virus these past 2 years our world has been upside down and in such stressful times.

We have lost many people due to this virus and this is heartbreaking.
It has changed our lives dramatically and family and friends were kept apart.
But, soon came the times we able to move about.

Looking at where we are today, we are still struggling in every area of our lives.
We are still fighting for our lives. We see the turmoil of what our world is going through..we see the terrible unrest that is tormenting Ukraine.
It is no secret that every nation upon the face of this earth will feel the effects of what is happening there.
We must pray!

Our ONLY hope is in Jesus Christ.
Today, more than ever we should be turning our lives towards Him that can save us from what is soon coming.
In the last days we will see many things taking place. The Christian is well aware what is coming. This war that is raging between Russia and Ukraine.. We can easily see the verse in Matthew 24:7 is coming to pass;
"For nation shall rise against nation,and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.."

Over the recent years have we not seen much of these things falling into place.
Satan is at work! He is pushing through to get the world at a place where it will fall under the anti-christ.
The time is now to rise brothers and sisters in Christ. Put on your armor and rise and go into battle...the war is still going on...many have fought...many have already died upon the battle fields...we must be "willing to march into hell for a heavenly cause."

Though it seems hopeless, it is not. Not for the child of God. We have the VICTORY in JESUS CHRIST!
Stand tall and proclaim the gospel of Jesus!
This world needs to hear more about the love...the salvation...of our LORD and SAVIOR.
Matthew 24:14; Jesus said, " And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."

Go and teach...preach...God will give to you what you are to say. Go in the love of Jesus Christ.
