Merritt Youth Retreat

Merritt Youth Retreat The camp is for incoming high school freshman through high school graduates. In the evenings we also play group games and eat smoores and campfire pies.

Merritt Youth Retreat is a Christ-centered, non-denominational camp held every year on the third weekend of July at Davis Creek Recreation Area near Scotia, NE. At Merritt Youth Retreat, we will study the Bible, meet with Small Groups, and sing worship music in the mornings and evenings. During the day you can go water skiing, tubing, go down our man made water slide, swim, jump on our water tramp

oline, play volleyball, go fishing, or find one of our many other fun activities to take part in. On Saturday night we have an amazing campfire service. At Merritt Youth Retreat, you will meet new friends, eat great food, and drink the BEST hot chocolate you've ever tasted! What to bring:
*Registration, medical permission slip
*$35 (suggested donation) & 1 dozen cookies
*Sleeping bag and pillow (you will be tenting!)
*Sunscreen and Bug Spray
*Swimsuit and a coverup (no immodest clothing)
*Fishing gear & license (if older than 16)
*Bible (if you don't have one, we'll get you one while you're here!)
*Money for showers ($.50 for 3min)

*Immodest clothing will not be permitted. This includes two-piece swimsuits, midriff shirts and extremely short shorts. If you can no longer come as a camper, please consider joining our team of leaders! For any questions/comments about Merritt Youth Retreat, please address via facebook message or via facebook wall. ✨ THIS YEAR’S THEME: TREASURED ✨

This summer we'll be focusing on what it means to be treasured by God. He created everyone with purpose and value. When we surrender our lives to Christ, He calls us His own.

We can’t wait for a weekend full of faith, fun, friendships, and growing closer to Christ together. ❤️

Meet Daniel! He's the man behind our Social Media! Daniel started helping with our socials after the holidays, and he's been doing an incredible job. Get to know him 👇🏽

Q: Give us a brief intro to who you are.
A: Hi, I’m Daniel Robinson and I am 17 years old. I am a senior in high school, and l have been homeschooled my whole life.

Q: What's your connection to MYR and why do you love it?
A: My parents have been helping at MYR my whole life so this will be my 16th year at camp. I love MYR because through it the Lord has helped me grow in my relationship with Him, and others, as He has blessed me with many close friends from camp.

Q: What made you interested in helping with our social media?
A: I was interested in helping with social media because I plan on going into marketing eventually, and I have always loved Merritt and would love to see it grow. I am thankful for this opportunity to help out MYR, and I am excited to see what else the Lord has in store for the camp!!
