Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the horrific attack at a Chanukah celebration in Sydney.
We grieve the innocent lives lost and stand with the families, the injured, and our brothers and sisters in Australia - including dear family members and friends.

This tragedy cuts deeply, especially as we enter a time meant for light and joy.
This was intentional.
To dim light before it even begins.
And our response is just as deliberate.

Chanukah was born out of devastation. We searched for light and when we found it, we lit it with joy and pride
That is what we do. That is who we are
We respond by choosing light. Together, proudly, and publicly.

Join us tonight for the first night of Chanukah as we light the Menorah and bring light to downtown Scotch Plains.
