This week ... A mini tour of a number of the gardens at SNC

Reminder!!! Cemetery is open dawn to dusk. Stop at the Public Information Center (M-F 9am -3pm, weekends 9:30am-4pm ) and pick up a cemetery map...on the back is a self-guided walking tour taking in notable sites throughout SNC.

Makes for a great summer outing for the wee ones...a tremendous amount of honor and history can be found here, and they won't even realize they are learning over summer break!

Enjoy! Enjoy!

This week with your SNC Garden Club...

Although club was canceled this week due to weather extremes, a few ladies were determined to help SNC Head Gardener Matt get the last of the shrubs in, making sure the PIC sparkled for our nation's 250th.

But...what we actually learned firsthand was beyond humbling. Regardless of the weather, SNC staff, Honor Guard and Saratoga Ladies continue to serve our Veterans in work and full-dress uniforms, they never 'dress down'.

Thank you to each and every one of these folks for their undying determination to provide honor to our veterans through all types of weather ...you are God's blessing to us all.

SNC Garden Club this week!

What a great Wednesday had by all! The GC this week assisted Head SNC Gardener Matt in the planting of the new landscape at the Public Information Center...loads of laughs, plenty of sore muscles and an incredible amount of honor felt by all of us being able to do this for our veterans.

A special thanks to a very helpful boy scout who volunteered on just the right day! You rock!

And a sincere thanks to the Stillwater American Legion Post 490, your generous donation to the SNC Garden Club was used to purchase the tree that now stands in this landscape welcoming all to Saratoga National Cemetery! It's called a Japanese Stewartia and it's a showstopper, year-round! Thank you! Thank you!

***SNC Garden Club Flower Fun***

We introduced a few container gardens here and there this year...adding a pop of color where you least expect it! All annuals happily grown by A. Charles Brizzell Farm and Greenhouses, Melrose and now loving their new home at SNC!

Enjoy!

Spring 2026 Veteran Memorial Tree Program

Take a peek at these photos from last week's Memorial Tree spring planting!

All trees are field grown, dug and professionally installed by Elhannon Nursery, Petersburgh, NY and we can't say thank you enough to Connor Sutton and crew! Beauteous trees and outstanding install!

If you are interested in sponsoring a Memorial Tree before the fall installation, there are a limited number of trees already planted and available immediately, locations include Garden Niche, Oak Grove and Section 14.

Next installation will be this fall...tree order deadline is September 15th.

Email us at [email protected] for program information.

Thank you! Thank you!

Announcing...special 'Honor Beds' dedicated to you and your veteran.

SNC Garden Club will throughout the season plant the live plants that family and friends leave on gravesites once our cemetery staff removes them for lawnmowing purposes.

Rather than toss or set them in a space for 30 days waiting for someone to claim them, we are planting them for everyone to enjoy!

Should you wish your plant back, by all means let us know and we will dig and repot it.

Here are some photos of the gardens blooming with honors! These beds are located at both ends of the Garden Niche.

Thank you! Thank you!
