Soma Maṭha सोम मठ Spiritual Center 501c3, not-for-profit organization working to build a Temple for Goddess Durga in her aspect of Shakambhari in the mountains near Charlottesville, Virginia.

We teach the mystical Vedic sciences of self-transformation for the peace of the world. The Soma Matha Organization works to bring peace to the world by conducting Vedic Pujas and Yajnas and by teaching the mystical Vedic sciences; Mantra, Meditation, Yoga, Ayurveda, and Vedic Astrology. On August 28th, just after the conclusion of the Lunar Eclipse, we will be performing Nava Graha Shanti puja to help reduce the negative effects of the eclipse.

Because this eclipse is occurring in the sidereal Sign of Aquarius in the Nakshatra of Shatabhishek, this puja will be especially useful for people with Moon or Ascendant in Aquarius, Leo, Cancer, Capricorn, or Virgo.

Guru Purnima guru Paduka abhishekam - bathing the guru’s sandals. We can read the scriptures, but it requires the enlightened guidance of a master to truly understand.
