The Norfolk Priory of Missionary Benedictine Sisters is part of an international community of monastic women who participate in the missionary service of the Church by seeking God through community, prayer, and ministry. As Missionary Benedictine Sisters with our particular charism of prayer, community cultural, and ethnic diversity, and our commitment to respect persons and creation, we believe our call at this time is to:
-Deepen and share our Benedictine spirituality.
-Respond to the critical needs of society with emphasis on the poor, the marginalized, and the oppressed. Christ the King Priory

Not a pretty picture, but a pretty great caption so keep reading! Last night at the Peer Minister Retreat Br. Titus shared a talk with us about why the Monks pray the Psalms, and he shared this quote with us about his favorite symbol of faith:

“I was once asked about my favorite symbol of faith. I answered that in the choir stalls in the Abbey Church, there are spots that are worn out on the floor from the monks' shoes. The footprints on the ground are a physical representation of our vow of stability. Each day, whether it is the best day or the worst day of a monk's life, he is there in his choir stall praying and that prayer makes an impact.”
