We are honored to welcome Teresa Rieder to our worship service this Sunday morning. She is a dedicated missionary serving in Ethiopia, where she has made a profound impact through both evangelism and compassionate outreach.

Beyond her evangelistic work, Teresa founded a rescue ministry for street children in Ethiopia. This initiative provides shelter, food, education, and spiritual care to children who have been left without family or a home. She has personally seen the transformation in the lives of these children, many of whom have gone on to attend school, vocational training, or higher education, and some have become leaders in their own communities. Her compassion and faith have made her a beacon of hope for those on the margins. Two amazing stories of how Teresa’s love for the lost people of Ethiopia has already changed lives have been shared with our church family the past two Sundays. You can read about the ministries of these young men on our website - www.fbcschulenburg.net.
Her testimony will not only share the power of God’s love in Ethiopia but also reveal how faith can transform lives—both in the streets and in the heart of the Gospel. She will speak of the challenges she has faced, the breakthroughs she has witnessed, and the call to each of us to be faithful witnesses in our own communities.
Join us this Sunday! Come worship, listen, and be inspired by her story. Let her message remind us that every person—especially the most vulnerable—has value in God’s eyes, and that the Gospel is alive and active in the world today.

A Prayer for Our Schools

Heavenly Father,

We lift our schools to You today—our students, teachers, staff, administrators, and parents. Cover each one with Your grace, wisdom, strength, and protection.

Bless our students. Give them curious minds, compassionate hearts, courage to do what is right, and friends who encourage them in good things. Help them feel seen, valued, safe, and loved. Guard their hearts and minds, and guide them as they grow.

Bless our teachers and school staff. Renew their strength when they are weary. Give them patience, wisdom, creativity, and compassion. Remind them that the work they do matters and that the lives they touch have lasting value.

Bless our administrators and school leaders. Give them discernment as they make difficult decisions. Help them lead with integrity, fairness, humility, and courage. Surround them with people who will offer wisdom, encouragement, and support.

And bless our parents and families. Give parents wisdom as they guide their children, patience in challenging moments, and grace for the days that feel overwhelming. Help families communicate with one another and with their schools in ways marked by respect, understanding, and a shared desire to see every child thrive.

Lord, bring unity to our school communities. Help us look beyond our differences and remember that we are all working toward the same precious gift: the well-being and future of our children.

Protect our schools from violence, bullying, fear, division, and anything that seeks to harm. Let our schools be places of safety, belonging, learning, kindness, and hope.

Give every person who walks through a school door the assurance that they are not alone. Guide us to be people who listen, encourage, forgive, serve, and love well.

May our schools be filled with wisdom, peace, compassion, and purpose. And may every student, staff member, administrator, and parent know that their presence matters.

We place our schools and our children into Your loving hands.

Amen.
