Christ the Shepherd desires to not only be a spiritual presence in the community but also a civic presence working to partner with community leaders and organizations to improve the quality of life for those who live in the village and town of Schoharie. We are affiliated with the national organization of Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC). Our worship time is 9:00am on Sunday mor

nings. Our style of worship is that of a blended service, with contemporary praise music as well as hymns. It is a non-liturgical type of service, in that the service is not chanted, but has many of the same elements as in a traditional Lutheran service. An Adult Bible Study is offered following worship on Sunday morning. Looking forward to having you join us!

Members of The Christ the Shepherd Lutheran Church Men’s Bible Study group will once again walk in Saturday’s June 13th Marathon for a Better Life.
Marathon for a Better life seeks to provide relief and support to Schoharie County residents currently fighting cancer and encourages community solidarity between those who are fighting cancer, those who have fought cancer, and all those within Schoharie County who choose to be the helpers.
If you would like to support them in this service fundraiser, contact either Jim Presley, Steve LeClair, Richard Quirion, Robert Tines, Jim Kerr or Jeremy Steingraeber. Also, stop by their team tent on the day of the event for a grilled hotdog and/or a selection of homemade canned goods for a donation.

REMINDER: This Sunday June 7th, in addition to our regular offering we will also be doing a food in-gathering to support the Schoharie Community Food Pantry. Recent increased costs for groceries (especially meat), gas prices, diesel prices for deliveries and the loss of NY State CCAP daycare funding are all contributing factors that are placing an increased financial strain on family budgets. Last month 157 visits were made to the local pantry!
The Schoharie Community Food Pantry is an emergency food pantry intended to help in the short term to relieve the stress for families having to make difficult choices over what expenses to prioritize. Thank you for continuing to support this critical local need!
