Greater Randolph Seventh-day Adventist Church serves Northeast San Antonio, Texas. We're part of a worldwide, mission-minded family of over twenty million believers, established in 1863. Collectively, we strive to meet the needs of many around the world while sharing the truth and hope of the Everlasting Gospel, and of Jesus Christ’s soon return. Locally, we were founded in 1978 in the City of Sch

ertz, Texas (NE San Antonio). We hold the Bible as the ultimate authority, as our only creed and only source of our beliefs. We consider our movement to be the result of the Protestant conviction Sola Scriptura—the Bible as the only standard of faith and practice for Christians. If you love the unadulterated Word of God and want a solid biblical foundation for your faith and family, then Greater Randolph Church is the place to be. We're located at 101 Pecan Dr. Schertz, Texas 78154.

Religious Liberty Spotlight — May 30, 2026

Join us for a timely Religious Liberty Spotlight examining current developments affecting conscience, worship, and religious freedom. This presentation by Deacon Charlie Rice looks at the growing conversation around Sunday rest, labor policy, blue-law traditions, public morality, and the re-normalization of a shared weekly day of rest.

The focus is not fear, politics, or speculation, but careful Christian watchfulness. We will consider how religious influence, civil policy, workplace rules, and community expectations can shape conscience—and why Bible-based faithfulness matters now.

Key themes include religious liberty for all, conscience under pressure, current policy trends, and the prophetic warnings of Revelation 13 and 14.

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” — Revelation 14:12, KJV

Welcome to this week's Sabbath School discussion. Today's lesson is "Having Faith" (Lesson 8) facilitated by Deacon Charlie Rice.

Memory Text: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 KJV.

Someone once said, “Faith is like WiFi. It’s invisible, but it has the power to connect you to what you need.” No doubt: without faith, there would be no relationship with God.
What is your faith like today? Has your faith in God ever been shaky? Perhaps you’ve experienced something that has challenged you to the point where you’ve not known how to move forward with your relationship with God. Or is your faith like a rose that grows from a green stem into a tiny bud that eventually opens into a bold, colorful flower and fills the room with an unforgettable scent? For truly, “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Heb. 11:1, KJV). It’s not something we can generate by ourselves, for “God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” (Rom. 12:3, KJV). Faith is a gift of God (Eph. 2:8, 9), and even then, our faith in God is possible only because of what God is already doing in and for us. This week let’s explore the topic of faith: what to do with doubt and unbelief; what, according to Jesus, strong faith looks like; and what it means to have “the faith of Jesus.”

Welcome to this week's Sabbath School discussion. Today's lesson is "Practical Prayer" (Lesson 7) facilitated by PhD Betty Mkwinda Nyasulu.

Memory Text: “Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out
your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us” Psalm 62:8 NKJV.

What is your prayer life like? How often do you pray? How
fervently? How expectantly? Do you pray daily or only in
emergencies? Are your prayers always asking for something,
or do you praise God in your prayers, as well? Also, do you find yourself offering a prayer in the morning before you eat and perhaps partway through your busy day? Perhaps you’ve been part of a regular prayer group or even experienced what it’s like to pray around the clock. Have you experienced the power and presence of God through prayer that changes everything in your life? Prayer is the constant connection between us (the branches) and Jesus (the Vine). “If we would grow and flourish, we must continually draw sap and nourishment from the Living Vine; for separated from the Vine we have no strength.”—Ellen G. White, Early Writings, p. 73. This is the blessing of abiding prayer. God hears us, and He always answers in His time and in His perfect way—though not always in the way we might expect. This week let’s study other praying individuals in the Bible and consider practical ways to strengthen prayer in our daily lives.

May you be blessed, challenged, and inspired by this lesson study. Let us know where you're watching from and feel free to comment in the chat.
