This concert will be held at St. Nikola Serbian Orthodox Church in Lyons, IL. Tickets are $20. Refreshments and food will be served before and after the concert! To purchase your ticket, scan the QR code. You can also purchase a ticket at the event.

With joy in our hearts, we invite you to the official start of the new Church School year at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church on Sunday, September 13, 2026.

We will begin the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m., during which our students will actively participate by reading the Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Prayer before Holy Communion.

Immediately after the Liturgy, we will hold the Invocation of the Holy Spirit prayer service for teachers, parents, and children, asking God’s blessing on the new year of learning and growth in Christ.

Afterward, we invite everyone to join us for fellowship and lunch at the Halls of St. George, where we will share in Christian love and community.

We kindly remind you that all children (PK through High School) are expected to attend the Divine Liturgy and fully participate in this important start to the school year.

Additionally, children must be registered with the Church School and/or Youth Group to participate in folklore and the Tromedja Folklore Group.

We are thrilled to begin another year of learning, growing, and serving Christ together with your children.

Can't wait to see you all on September 13!

We are excited to begin a new folklore season by looking forward to another year of dancing, making memories, traveling, and continuing to honor our traditions!

Tromedja practice times are:
Mini Group (preK-K): 1pm-1:30pm
Small Group (1st-4th grade): 1pm - 2pm
Middle Group (5th - 8th grade): 2pm - 3:30pm
Big Group: (high school and up): 3:30pm - 5pm

We will hold the practice and registrations on Sunday, August 30th at the HSOG!
