Memorial of Saint Anselm, Bishop and Doctor

St. Anselm of Canterbury is celebrated on April 21 as a Bishop and Doctor of the Church, widely recognized as the "Father of Scholasticism". A Benedictine monk and Archbishop of Canterbury, he is famous for his "faith seeking understanding" approach and for developing the ontological argument for God's existence.

Red Cross Blood Drive

It only takes about an hour to save one to three lives! Saint Madeleine Sophie will host a Blood Drive in the Parish Center on Monday, April 20 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. If you are like thousands of blood donors across the country, you'll wonder why you waited so long to begin donating blood. Try it once and see for yourself!

Everyone who comes to donate will receive a $15 E-Gift Card to your choice of merchants, delicious homemade cookies, and a warm feeling inside knowing you saved lives. Please bring a friend or relative to donate with you.

Anyone age 16 or older may donate, and there is no upper age limit. Appointments are STRONGLY recommended. To make an appointment, please use the Blood
Donor App, OR call 1-800-RedCross, OR visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter
"StMadeleineSophie" to find our drive.

What is the reflection of the 3rd Sunday of Easter?

As with Mary Magdalene meeting the Gardener, Jesus, at the Empty Tomb, the Risen Lord is not to be held on to at their whim and wish. Now, they realise their mistake and immediately journey back to Jerusalem where, with the other disciples, their story is affirmed, and they await the coming of the Spirit.
