Saint George's Episcopal Church

Saint George's Episcopal Church Saint George's is a historic parish of the Episcopal Church offering beautiful worship in the catholic tradition of Anglicanism. St. George's Church.

George's Episcopal Church is an historic and vibrant Christian Community. We are a Colonial Anglican parish in the Episcopal Church, founded in 1735. We are a sacramental community. The Holy Eucharist is at the heart of our life and ministry. It is celebrated on Sundays and during the week as the community's chief act of praise and thanksgiving. We pray daily for the needs of all parishioners, our

community and the world. All parishioners are encouraged to pray the Divine Office daily, wherever they may be. Liturgically, we are a traditional parish with excellent church music. We promote a high standard of preaching and teaching. Pastorally, we are a comprehensive and inclusive parish where all persons are welcome to participate fully regardless of race, gender, orientation, or economic status. We teach the Christian faith through our sacramental life, church school, Kerygma Bible Studies, Rector's Forums, Quiet Days, The Howe Lecture Series and Preaching Missions. Education, both for youth and adults, is extremely important for at St. As an historic Colonial parish of the Episcopal Church, our goal is to be a liturgically, Biblically, and theologically literate community of faith engaged in servanthood ministry. We offer ourselves to Almighty God not only through Anglican Worship and Music, corporate Prayer, the Divine Office, Mass on the Lord's Day and weekdays, the study of Holy Scripture, and acts of Christian Charity, but through pastoral care, fellowship, personal prayer, servant ministry in the community and veneration of the Saints. An Inquirers Class is offered to all newcomers using the CREDO Course, a basic course or core curriculum on the Christian faith. Come and visit Historic St. George's Episcopal Church, the miracle on North Ferry Street in the Stockade District of Schenectady, New York!
