Prepare Your Heart for the Lord’s Day
Sunday, May 31, 2026 | 9:30 AM
Church family, we look forward to gathering this coming Lord’s Day to worship our risen Savior together.
As we continue our sermon series through the book of Acts, we encourage you to read Acts 24 in preparation for the message.
We also invite you to listen to this week’s worship setlist through the attached links and meditate on the related Scripture passages for each song. This is a simple way to prepare our hearts spiritually and musically for corporate worship.
This Week’s Songs and Scripture Connections:
Congregational Singing — “This Is Amazing Grace”
This song celebrates the saving grace of God, who rescues sinners, brings new life in Christ, and gives salvation as a gift.
Ephesians 2:4-5 — “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—”
Ephesians 2:8 — “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,”
Congregational Singing — “Way Maker”
This song reminds us that God is faithful, powerful, and present—making a way when we cannot see one and working wonders for His people.
Psalm 77:14 — “You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples.”
John 14:6 — “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”
Ministry in Song — “My Tribute”
This song gives all glory to God, acknowledging that every blessing, gift, and testimony of grace comes from Him alone.
Psalm 115:1 — “Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!”
1 Corinthians 10:31 — “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
Congregational Singing — “Lion and the Lamb”
This song exalts Jesus as both the conquering Lion of Judah and the sacrificial Lamb of God who saves His people and reigns in victory.
John 1:29 — “The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, ‘Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!’”
Revelation 17:14 — “They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.”
Congregational Singing — “In Christ Alone”
This song proclaims that our salvation, hope, righteousness, and security are found in Christ alone—through His death, resurrection, and finished work.
Acts 4:12 — “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Romans 8:1 — “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
Song of Response — “The Old Rugged Cross”
This hymn leads us to remember Christ’s suffering and sacrifice on the cross, calling us to glory only in Him and respond with faith and gratitude.
Isaiah 53:5 — “But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.”
Galatians 6:14 — “But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.”
