Bethel Baptist Church of Schaumburg

Bethel Baptist Church of Schaumburg Bethel Baptist Church of Schaumburg exists to make and mature disciples of Jesus Christ for the glory of God through Loving, Growing, Building, & Reaching.

The Facebook Ministry of Bethel Baptist Church of Schaumburg is just that; a safe place for those that desire to know more about or encourage one another in Bethel's activities in the Schaumburg community and beyond - in short, a place for members of the visible Body of Jesus Christ to minister to one another and to the reachable community. Missionaries, friends of the ministry, and active members are encouraged to participate and comment in ways that are unifying, edifying, and honest. In times of conflict or disagreement, Bethel Baptist Church asks that we would remember Christ and His manner. Heb 10:24 "let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works"

Phil 2:3-4 "Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others." Ephesians 4:29-32 "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." Proverbs 18

6 A fool’s lips walk into a fight, and his mouth invites a beating.

7 A fool’s mouth is his ruin, and his lips are a snare to his soul.

8 The words of a whisperer are like delicious morsels;they go down into the inner parts of the body.

12 Before destruction a man’s heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.

13 If one gives an answer before he hears,it is his folly and shame.

17 The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.

19 A brother offended is more unyielding than a strong city, and quarreling is like the bars of a castle.

21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. Happy 4th of July!

Today is a good day to pause, enjoy the people around us, and give thanks for the freedoms we’ve been given. As followers of Jesus, we remember that freedom is a gift to steward with humility, love, and service to our neighbors.

Grateful for our country, grateful for our community, and hopeful for the good we can do together.

THIS SUNDAY! Join us for our annual Freedom and Fellowship Picnic as we gather for an afternoon of food, fellowship, games and celebration! This year, the cost will be $5 per person to help offset the cost of food and event expenses. Register here: https://mybbc.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/500/responses/new

As part of our Independence Day weekend, we will also be recognizing the Lowery family as they begin a new chapter and celebrating Pastor Mark & Jan Coleman as Pastor Mark transitions from a full-time pastor to a part-time pastor.

These special recognitions will take place during the morning service, so if you are unable to attend the picnic, you will still have the opportunity to honor and encourage these families during worship.

We hope you'll join us for the service, the picnic, or both as we celebrate God's faithfulness and enjoy time together as a church family.
