A call to look at a way we pray. Matthew 7 has Jesus instructing us on prayer. We find 3 words of encouragement, Ask, Seek and Knock.

The Parable of the Sower. Jesus ends the parable with the words. "Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear." How is our hearing? Do we listen well? Perhaps Mark 4, will help us answer the question

Today we look to the Sacrament of Baptism. The Baptism of Jesus. Think how do we today continue to live the vow taken at our Baptism.

Today we look at the prophet Elijah. He is faithful in delievering God's Word to the people. He represents God against the prophets of Baal. You would think the King and Queen would return to God. Jezebel vows to take his life. Now the prophet runs for his life, "One Lonely Prophet." Our lesson, see how God continues to stay by Elijah. As with Elijah, we are only lonely, until we realize we are on a journey of God's choosing!!! Go with God and we never go alone!!!

Our last "Concerts in the Park", is this evening at 7:00PM. Teen Challenge's Adult choir will join us. Come enjoy the music and the testimonies of how God can change lives. Light refreshments follow the concert and all is free. Should there be extreme heat or rain we move to Zion church, Schaefferstown

John 12 takes us to Bethany, where Jesus goes to rest. Several things are going on, including the plot not only to kill Jesus but also Lazarus. Do we have a place where we can relax find rest and spend time with God. Once again Jesus is a great example of doing so.

Sunday July 19th our 2nd concert in the park. This week "This Way Up" a family percussion group. They use some unusual instruments to create music. Gospel and popular tunes. With the poor air quality, we will meet at the Zion UMC, at 7PM. The concerts are open to all and are free.

Paul, encourages the Thessalonians to continue shareing the Gospel as a Labor of Love. We look at our life and life of the church. Are Labors of Love seen in us each day?

Sunday July 12 at 7 pm the community churches will hold our first of three, "Free,Concerts in the Park" Due to weather and heat, the concert this week will be held at the Zion UMC. Refreshment will be served
