Trinity Lutheran Church Sunday Bible Study 9am
Sunday School 9am
Sunday Worship 10am Trinity Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS).

Trinity Lutheran Church is a welcoming congregation which strives to share with everyone the life and love of Jesus Christ. Trinity's mission is to bring the free gift of forgiveness, life, and salvation in Jesus Christ to broken sinners (you and us) through the preaching of God's Word and through the Holy Sacraments (Baptism and the Lord's Supper).

Trinity Lutheran Church is evangelical ("gosp

el-centered") in character. We hold God's Word, the Bible, as our sole authority for belief, life, and practice. Worship at Trinity is traditional and liturgical. In worship, you will hear biblical, Christ-centered preaching and will sing traditional Christian hymns. We welcome you to join us in worshiping God and hearing his Word.

HYMN OF THE DAY
All Saints' Day (Observed)
Nov. 2, 2025

"For All the Saints" (LSB 677)

1. For all the saints who from their labors rest,
Who Thee by faith before the world confessed,
Thy name, O Jesus, be forever blest.
Alleluia! Alleluia!

2. Thou wast their rock, their fortress, and their might;
Thou, Lord, their captain in the well-fought fight;
Thou, in the darkness drear, their one true light.
Alleluia! Alleluia!

3. Oh, may Thy soldiers, faithful, true, and bold,
Fight as the saints who nobly fought of old
And win with them the victor’s crown of gold!
Alleluia! Alleluia!

4. Oh, blest communion, fellowship divine!
We feebly struggle, they in glory shine;
Yet all are one in Thee, for all are Thine.
Alleluia! Alleluia!

5. And when the fight is fierce, the warfare long,
Steals on the ear the distant triumph song,
And hearts are brave again, and arms are strong.
Alleluia! Alleluia!

6. The golden evening brightens in the west;
Soon, soon to faithful warriors cometh rest;
Sweet is the calm of paradise the blest.
Alleluia! Alleluia!

7. But, lo, there breaks a yet more glorious day:
The saints triumphant rise in bright array;
The King of Glory passes on His way.
Alleluia! Alleluia!

8. From earth’s wide bounds, from ocean’s farthest coast,
Through gates of pearl streams in the countless host,
Singing to Father, Son, and Holy Ghost:
Alleluia! Alleluia!

Luther's Rose:
The black cross in the center reminds us that Jesus died to take the punishment for our sins.
The red heart reminds us of the love God has for us in sending Jesus to be
our Savior. The red of the heart is the color of the blood of Christ, shed for us and for our salvation.
The white rose helps us remember the work of the Holy Spirit who makes us
pure and holy in God’s sight by bringing us to faith in Jesus and by helping
us to live our lives for Him.
The sky blue background pictures the joy of the new life God gives to all
who believe and trust in Him.
Finally, the golden ring outlining the seal reminds us of our eternal
inheritance—a home in heaven where we will enjoy complete joy and
happiness in our Savior’s presence.

Words are important, especially the words that Christians use to explain the faith. And while language has its limits, Christ, the very Word of God made flesh, has redeemed even human language. This month's issue of "The Lutheran Witness" considers a variety of common words Christians use — words like "faith," "grace," "worship" and more — and explains the way Lutherans understand these words in light of Scripture and in contrast to the way other church bodies may use these terms. We'll be sharing the definitions from the issue in the coming weeks in anticipation of Reformation Day at the end of the month — won't you share them with your friends and family?

REPENTANCE: FROM OUR CONFESSIONS
“Repentance consists of two parts. One part is contrition, that is, terrors striking the conscience through the knowledge of sin. The other part is faith, which is born of the Gospel [Romans 10:17] or the Absolution and believes that for Christ’s sake, sins are forgiven. It comforts the conscience and delivers it from terror. Then good works are bound to follow, which are the fruit of repentance [Galatians 5:22–23].”
