This first Sunday in June, we will continue our study in I Thessalonians 2. Verses 13-16 deal with the topic of the Word of God. Sawyer Christian Church will not be holding service on Sunday May 24 due to the Preacher and wife being ill and some of the congregation being absent. We will resume services on Sunday May 31 . There is no doubt that “the times they are a changing.” Unfortunately they are not always changing for the better. Chaos, division, and unrest can be found in the world and in the church. Despite all this, God has called the church to minister in such a time as this. I’m sure most churches want to impact the world successfully and positively. In 1 Thessalonians 2: 1-12, Paul outlines how to accomplish this. Our 10:45 message will be entitled “ Success In Ministry.” Plan to join us this Sunday the 24th at SCC. Pastor Doug

In Matthew 16:18, Jesus promised to build His church. The Apostle Paul was used by the Lord to establish several churches. Paul was thankful to have a part in the history of the Church. We who are part of the church today, have a rich heritage to build on as we carry out the Lord’s command to take the gospel to the world, Mark 16:15. This Sunday, the 17th, we will continue our study in 1Thessalonians in a message entitled “ Something To Be Thankful For.” I’ll see all of you at 10:45 at SCC! Pastor Doug
