It’s the middle of the week, and maybe life has already thrown a few unexpected things your way.

So let me remind you of something we talked about on Sunday from Psalm 8:

When God gets bigger, our problems get smaller.

The problems may not disappear.

The burdens may still be there.

The questions may still be unanswered.

But when we stop staring at our circumstances and start looking at the greatness of God, our perspective begins to change.

The same God who created the stars knows your name.

The same God who hung the moon cares about your heart.

The same God who holds the universe together is holding you today.

So if the week has been heavy, pause for a moment and do what David did:

Look up.

God is still on His throne.

God is still in control.

And God is still God.

“Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!” — Psalm 8:1

One of the reasons I love the Psalms is because they’re honest.

They were written by people who faced fear, failure, uncertainty, joy, victory, and everything in between. Yet through every season, they learned the same lesson:

God was still God.

Tomorrow we begin a new summer series:

We’ll start in Psalm 8 with a message called:

“When God Feels Bigger Than Your Problems.”

If you’ve had a hard week, need some encouragement, or simply want to grow closer to God this summer, I’d love for you to join us.

🙌 Faith, fun, and friendships your kids will never forget!

📍 Saturday Kickoff: June 6 at 9:30 AM
📍 VBS Continues: June 7–10 at 7:00 PM nightly
📍 Location: Second Creek Church of Christ
15 Highway 69 • Savannah, TN

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents are invited to come watch the play and enjoy the activities too!

We also have an Adult VBS each night at 7 PM with different teachers throughout the week discussing the powerful question:

Nursery through 6th Grade are invited, and we would absolutely love to have your family with us this year!

🔥 THE SECRET PLACE — WEEK #5 🔥

What a powerful day together as we wrapped up our series, The Secret Place.

📖 Acts 4:13
“They recognized that they had been with Jesus.”

That became the heartbeat of today’s message:

💥 When you’ve truly been with Jesus… people can tell.

Over the last five weeks, God has been calling us deeper:
• deeper than religion
• deeper than routine
• deeper than distraction
• deeper into His presence

Today we were reminded:

✅ The secret place produces boldness.
✅ The secret place changes your identity.
✅ The secret place gives power for the battle.
✅ The world should see Jesus in us.

The goal of the Christian life is not fame, applause, or recognition.

The goal is that people would look at our lives and see JESUS.

We don’t need more distracted Christianity.
We need more prayer.
More worship.
More surrender.
More of God’s presence.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this journey through The Secret Place.

Let’s keep pursuing Him this week.

Because the secret place isn’t where the journey ends…

It’s where the real life of discipleship begins.

This Sunday was such a good reminder:

Week #4 of The Secret Place really encouraged us to fight for what matters most:
• prayer over distraction
• intimacy over routine
• His presence over all the noise around us

📖 Hebrews 12:2 — “Looking to Jesus…”

The enemy loves to fight for your attention because whatever you focus on eventually shapes your life.

But when we keep our eyes on Jesus:
• peace comes back
• strength comes back
• clarity comes back
• passion comes back

Let’s keep chasing after the presence of God together this week.
