DON’T STOP HERE
There’s More of Jesus Ahead.

Last week we asked whether our faith is real. This week we’re asking:

If Jesus has brought me this far… am I still moving forward?

Philippians 3 reminds us that the Christian life is not about getting comfortable. It’s about pressing on, knowing Jesus more deeply, and becoming the kind of person who helps somebody else follow Him too.

PRESS ON.
KNOW HIM.
REACH BACK.

Don’t let yesterday’s faith become today’s stopping place.

What a powerful Sunday at Second Creek.

Today we asked one simple but searching question:

IS IT REAL?

Not just, “Do I go to church?”
Not just, “Do I know the right things?”
But—

Has Jesus really changed me?

We were reminded that when Jesus gets hold of a life:

* He changes what we love.
* He changes what we live for.
* He produces fruit that can be seen.

Real faith is more than a label. Real faith changes direction. Real faith changes desires. Real faith shows up in the way we love, forgive, serve, worship, and live.

One line I hope stays with us all week:

IF JESUS CHANGED YOUR HEART, JESUS SHOULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

And maybe the best question to carry into Monday is this:

What is my life producing?

Not perfection.
Not performance.
But fruit.

Love. Joy. Peace. Patience. Kindness. Goodness. Faithfulness. Gentleness. Self-control.

May we stay close to Jesus, keep growing, and live in such a way that nobody has to wonder who has our heart.

Let the fruit tell the story.

This Sunday at Second Creek, we’re asking one of the most important questions we can ask:

IS IT REAL?

Not just, “Do I go to church?”
Not just, “Do I know the right answers?”
But—

Has Jesus really changed my heart?
Has He changed what I love?
Has He changed what I live for?
Is there fruit in my life that shows He’s been there?

This Sunday we’ll open 2 Corinthians 5:14–17 and talk about what happens when Jesus gets hold of a life.

Encouragement for the growing.
A wake-up call for the complacent.
Hope for the hurting.
And an invitation for all of us to come closer to Jesus.

IF JESUS CHANGED YOUR HEART,
JESUS SHOULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

And when He does—

LET THE FRUIT TELL THE STORY.

Bring your family. Bring a friend. Come ready to worship, examine your heart, and hear from God’s Word.

September 19th is coming, and we’re getting excited! 🙌🔥

Second Creek Church of Christ is looking forward to an evening that’s simply about bringing people together — laughing, eating, playing, making memories, and enjoying some good fellowship.

On Saturday, September 19th from 4–7 PM, we’ll be gathering at the home of Donnie & Gladys Allen for our 2CYC Youth Camp Evening of Fun, Food & Friends!

Bring the whole family. Invite your friends. Bring your neighbors. Grab somebody who may not have anywhere else to go that evening and tell them, “Come with us!”

We’ll have:
• Fun on the creek 🌊
• Plenty of food 🍔
• Games 🎯
• Scavenger hunt 🔎
• T-shirts 👕
• And a whole lot of time just being together!

Sometimes ministry looks like a sermon. Sometimes it looks like sitting around a table, laughing around a fire, watching kids play, meeting somebody new, and reminding people that there’s a place where they are welcome.

That’s what we want September 19th to feel like.

What a way to close out our ALL IN series today at Second Creek Church of Christ.

This morning’s message, BURN AGAIN, reminded us that Jesus does not just want our routine — He wants our hearts.

It is possible to stay busy, stay active, and keep doing all the right things while the fire inside quietly begins to fade. But thank God, a fading fire does not have to become a finished fire.

Remember. Repent. Return. Rekindle.

If your heart has felt tired, distracted, discouraged, or spiritually dry, Jesus is still calling you closer. His grace is still enough. His love has not changed.

My prayer for all of us is simple:

Don’t just finish this series on fire. Stay burning for Jesus.

Keep Jesus first.
Keep the fire burning.
Nothing hidden. Nothing held back.

Church, I want to personally invite you to be with us this Sunday at Second Creek church of Christ.

We’ll be finishing our ALL IN series with a message called:

BURN AGAIN

I believe with all my heart this is more than just another sermon — it’s a call back to our first love. A call to stop going through the motions. A call to let God rekindle the fire in our hearts for Jesus.

If you’ve felt weary… come.
If you’ve felt distant… come.
If you need revival… come.
If you want to worship, be challenged, and hear from God’s Word… come.

Let’s gather, worship, and ask God to do something real in us.

This Sunday, ALL IN — Week Three asks a question we all need to wrestle with:

DOES IT SHOW?

It’s one thing to say Jesus is first.
It’s another thing for our choices, priorities, attitudes, relationships, and everyday lives to prove it.

From Colossians 1:15–18, we’re going to be reminded just how worthy Jesus is of first place—and challenged to ask:

If He’s really first in my life… can people see it?

This isn’t a message about pretending to have it all together. It’s about letting a real relationship with Jesus produce a real difference in us.

Come encouraged. Come ready to worship. Come ready to be challenged.

Looking back on yesterday, one truth is still sitting heavy on my heart:

JESUS FIRST. EVERYTHING ELSE SECOND.

In Week Two of ALL IN, we were challenged to ask whether Jesus is truly first—or just somewhere on the list.

Yesterday reminded us:

Get off the throne.
Jesus belongs at the center.

Stop giving God what’s left.
He deserves our first, not our leftovers.

Kill the “me first.”
Surrender self so Christ can lead.

Fall in love with Jesus again.
Because when He is first, everything changes.

I keep coming back to this line:

The goal is not to leave impressed. The goal is to leave reordered by Jesus.

That is the prayer for this week.

Let Him reorder your heart.
Let Him reorder your priorities.
Let Him reorder your life.

🔥 Nothing hidden. Nothing held back.
🔥 Jesus is not on the list—Jesus is the list.

Looking back on yesterday, I’m grateful for the Word, grateful for the challenge, and praying we carry it with us all week long.
