(español abajo) In every Southern Cross, we include the month's liturgical calendar. The combined June/July issue will be published in July, but we'd still like you to have June's calendar!

Want to save the calendar on your computer or phone? Here's how:

From Facebook on a computer:
- Click on the calendar to open the image in full screen.
- Click the three dots in the top right (next to the words “Southern Cross”) to open the menu.
- Click Download. The image should be in the downloads folder on your computer.

From the Facebook app (NOT the mobile site!):
- Touch the calendar to open the image in full screen.
- Press and hold on the image, or touch the three dots in the top right corner, to open the menu.
- Select Save Photo. The photo should be in your Photos app.

On Instagram:
Instagram does not typically allow you to save other people's posted photos to your computer or phone. The easiest method is to take a screenshot or go to Facebook (facebook.com/southerncrossdiosav) to save it to your phone or computer.

***

“‘I think the Holy Spirit wants you to be the grant writer for the food bank,’ was not what I had been expecting to hear. I was meeting with my spiritual director, the founder of Golden Harvest Food Bank. I had just asked him if he thought I should apply for a promotion where I was working as a customer service rep for a phone company. I had no fundraising experience.”

Nathan Krupa lives near Augusta and blogs about fundraising at thealmoner.com and the spiritual life at nathankrupa.com. He raises money to feed the hungry and has published two books, Letter of the Almoner and Demoniac, which are available on Amazon.

“I often consider that the most forgotten members of society are the incarcerated. This is likely because many do not consider them part of society anymore – they have been confined to oblivion to pay for their crimes. The truth, however, is that the incarcerated, even those who have committed heinous crimes, are very much part of society. Their crimes do not diminish or erase their human dignity.”
