Have you ever wondered if you're worthy to take Communion?

In 1 Corinthians 11, Paul warns about taking Communion in an unworthy manner. But there's an important difference between being unworthy and taking Communion in an unworthy way.

None of us could ever make ourselves worthy. That's why Jesus gave Himself for us.

Communion isn't a reminder of how good we have to be. It's a reminder of what Christ has done for us.

Communion reminds us that our relationship with Christ isn't just about us. Through Him, we are brought together as one body.

The love we receive at the table should shape the way we love, serve, and care for one another every day.

Why do Christians take Communion?

It can become such a familiar part of church that we forget to ask what we’re actually doing.

When we take the bread and the cup, we pause and remember: His body was given for me. His blood was poured out for me. Jesus rescued me.

Communion brings us back to the good news again and again.

It begins with what He has already done for us.

God moves toward us first.
