What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of church? What were your first/early experiences of attending church? Were those positive or negative experiences in your faith journey and why?

my answer
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of church? What were your first/early experiences of attending church? Were those positive or negative experiences in your faith journey and why? Jesus comes to mind when I think of church, I was brought up in church ; my grandmother and grandfather were servants of God. It was a positive experience, when I look at it now. Then not so much.

B) Take a moment and define “the church.” based on society and then based on scripture.
According to society church is tithes, offerings, parties, anniversaries, and praise and worship songs. According to scripture we are the church and as believers we make up the church as one body in Christ.
C) Church is something we are. What does that mean to you? How might your life look different if you lived as though church wasn’t a destination or an event, but something you are? If we live as the church we will live holy lives and be in this world but not of the world. We will live according to the Word of God.
