Recently the question of how does a new evangelistic ministry get the opportunity to minister at local churches, the following is my response.

First pray and keep praying until you know without any doubt which church God is calling you to submit to as a partner. Then attend the church regularly, while evangelizing to first build the Kingdom of God. As your ministry produces fruit bring them to your home church for discipleship. As your ministry shows proven effectiveness your gift will make room for you.

Stop pursuing a platform to minister from and start ministering to the lost and hurting. To many evangelists are trying to do crusade type results without stopping to minister to the individual. The wording of your question would seem to only value speaking to congregations without doing the grunt work required to build the Kingdom of Christ. So many American preachers believe God wants them to speak to the masses and are unwilling to stand on a street corner with a megaphone, for example. My wife and I setup a 10' x 10' canopy on the parking lot of a busy intersection with a banner stating FREE PRAYER RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW. People would see our sign and pull over just be prayed for, kids walking home from school would stop by regularly to receive prayer. God did some wonderful things under that $99 canopy. Eventually some pastors even stopped by to introduce themselves. God will open doors no man can! Do the work of an evangelist which is encountering individuals with grace and power of God so they can meet our loving Savior and fall in love with him as well! Simply let God bring you in front of the people He wants you to lock arms with to build His Kingdom!

As you get prolific in winning souls and solidifying their commitment to the Lordship of Christ, God will open doors and as you remain faithful in the little things He will promote you to bigger and bigger things!

Someone recently asked "how do I get over the guilt I feel for sinning? " The following are my response to their query.

I don't think we are supposed to "get over the guilt of our sin" however, what I think you are asking is how to rid yourself of shame! Which is a completely different issue! I suggest reading and meditating on the book of Romans like 3:23 "for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" and 8:1 "there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ"! We all need to hold on to the convection we feel from understanding we have done and will constantly fight with our carnal nature. There is a huge difference between being crippled with condemnation which is shame and feeling the conviction by Holy Spirit which motivates us to live in a manner pleasing to God. Shame says we are wretched and can never be better than what we have done and we should just give up trying to live a Godly life. While conviction from Holy Spirit tells us we fallen now get up and repent move into a greater and more intimate relationship with Christ by praying for God's Spirit to guide and teach us as we spend more time reading God's word!

I would also suggest spending less time on our phones/computers scrolling through possible temptations. Where we spend our time will greatly influence our thoughts and consequently our actions. I'm 64 years old and been a licensed minister since I was 21 and I haven't found a away to live a life free from sin and no one other than Christ has lived a sinless life! If you notice something that triggers your thoughts toward evil cut it out of your life, such as social media for example. We all should spend less time with fleshly pursuits and more time in meditating on God's word and in intimate prayer time so we can experience more of His glorious and Holy presence! In His presence there is fullness of joy and freedom from shame! Make experiencing His presence our ultimate priority and watch the changes He will make in our lives! Our mortal minds cannot comprehend the richness of His glory and as we Center our hearts on pursuing His presence we leave behind the actions of our carnal nature! His glory filled presence overcomes our shame and replaces it with a heart filled with experiencing His mind blowing grace and mercy coming from a Father's heart!

May your heart be flooded with the knowledge that God is smiling at you and He is keeping you in all your ways!

My prayer for all of us as we navigate these trying times with so many displays of hatred and division. We all need to focus on what will bring us together more than what separates us! LOVE TO ALL!

I am both saddened and sickened by the assassination of Charlie Kirk. While the details of who the shooter was or what his reasoning was for killing this particular young patriot. Regardless of whether or not it was due to his political views, his dying in this manner is senseless! I am and will be praying for his family and our nation to find a path to peace and acceptance of people whose political, religious, and/or socioeconomical views differ from our own. Mighty God, creator of heaven and earth, please sweep across our nation with Your incomprehensible peace, and may Your all consuming LOVE be the standard which rules all our lives!!!

2 Timothy 3:2 - 5 tells us in the last days men will become lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God! I've heard life long Christians say things like "I'll stay as long as a minister wants; say whatever he wants and all that he has on his heart and mind, but I'm not going home and coming back!" So in many cases even if a church/pastor offers another service (even including a mid-week service) attendance is so diminished that it doesn't seem worth the cost of utilities. Some ministries have gone to having small house groups in several different neighborhoods which in some cases have fared better than an actual church service. And this has been better for some local bodies creating a more intimate bond with fellow small group attendees. So whether or not a specific church body offers Sunday evening services, small house groups, neither, or some other configuration let's not jump to a conclusion that the fire is gone from a particular body. Let's all work on keeping our personal fire burning bright to insure we are not the ones spoken about in 2 Timothy 3:2 - 5.
