The Upper Room located across from Wendy's on Water St., have been and still are, are having Prayer Service every Tuesday Morning at 10:30. We wanted to let others know that this is not limited to those that just attend The Upper Room. No Preaching, No Special Singing, we turn on the CD and pray as a group and then pray individually where ever you feel comfortable. Whoever feels to come and Pray during this time will be welcome. Normally we are there about an hour, after we've discussed ( Not Gossip ) issues, circumstances, and situations both spoken and unspoken in people's lives..... THERE IS POWER IN PRAYER. God Bless Everyone,

1St Cor.4:2 " Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found Faithful."
Faithful - Steadfast, Loyal, & Reliable

Unfortunately these qualities are harder to find in people today than they use to be. While on the job we might not be the best, fastest, or the most accurate employee, however, if we are there everyday and the boss knows they can depend on you, that means a lot. It doesn't matter how good of a worker we are if our employer is always wondering if he/she is going to be there that day or not.
Faithfulness is very important to the Body of Christ. If we can be faithful to the House of God,even though we may face different types of adversities, that speaks volumes in God's Kingdom. Faithfulness to the church you call home is an important & needed quality.
That's why I would like to Thank Bro. Marcellus Lowery for being faithful to The Upper Room Ministry. Bro Marcellus has to go to dialysis 3 x a week, Mon. Wed.& Friday. It's very seldom that he's not at church when the doors are open. I know there have been times he didn't feel well, but he came on anyhow, There have been times he just felt like staying in bed, but he came on anyhow. He has the mindset "I'm going on anyhow." Sometimes sickness does hit & it's better to stay home & not spread it around. When these times happen to someone who is normally there, 1. They call their pastor or one of the other church leaders and 2. Other church members usually can say. " They must really be sick or something's wrong or they would be here."
Marcellus is a great worker & a big assest to The Upper Room Ministry, he has a willingness to do what he can for the Kingdom. We love & appreciate him so much. Thank You Brother for being an inspiration and an example for others as we continue to work for The Kingdom Of God.........
" Well," ...." It Is What It Is."

LAWLESSNESS

The purpose of the law is to make us safe, secure and protected.
It's been foretold "That there would be a day coming where LAWLESSNESS would run rampart in the streets."
Stopping at a stop sign is to PROTECT us from vehicles coming from
opposite directions. Rapes, assaults, murders are broken laws out to destroy you.
Enough is enough.
Right is right and wrong is wrong.
We have the right to live peaceful lives.

The line between good & evil is becoming more & more distinct as we live in these last days.
There are people today that have no conscience and will do anything to satisfy themselves..

It's ok to hope people will turn from their wicked ways but we must not keep our head in the sand.
REMEMBER the laws are for us to keep us safe, secure & protected.
First keep the laws so our children can learn from your actions. Next teach right & wrong to our children. Then be determined at all costs to be found on the right side of the law.
People are tired of LAWLESSNESS all around them so let's pray as it's the duty of LAW ENFORCEMENT to serve & PROTECT us, let's serve & protect others.
Let's DECLARE we resist LAWLESSNESS and we stick to what is right.

If you left the Church to get away from hypocritical people, you should also quit your job, drop out of school, disconnect yourself from all your friends and family, and lock yourself in your room while you're at it. There will be flaws wherever there are humans, But what better place for a flawed human to be, than within a Church of Grace, allowing God to slowly transform them.... tg

From post by Pastor Steve Nielsen :

Where has respect gone today. People no longer respect authorities. No longer respect parents. No longer respect the church.
We are told to pray for our leaders whether in government or in the home or in the church. People no longer respect elders. Courtesy has gone out the door.
Parents no longer are called mom & dad but by their first name. Pastors are being addressed by their first name alone. Government officials are called only by their first & last name. Whatever happened to Senator Corker or President Donald Trump.
In order to receive respect we must first give respect. We must teach our children how to respect others.
So let's try our best to respect one another. That is pleasing in the eyes of God.
