Hey there, men of Sharon Baptist Church!

Our Tuesday Morning Men’s Prayer Group meets tomorrow at 6 am, and this week we’ll be reviewing Matthew 12, Mark 3, and Luke 6. 📖☕

These chapters give us several important lessons from the early ministry of Jesus:

- Jesus teaches about the Sabbath and reminds us that following God is about more than simply following religious rules.
- We see Jesus healing and showing compassion, even as opposition against Him begins to grow.
- Jesus calls and appoints His twelve apostles to join Him in His ministry.
- In Luke 6, Jesus teaches about loving our enemies, judging others, bearing good fruit, and building our lives on a solid foundation.

Together, these passages challenge us to look beyond outward religion and examine our hearts, our relationships with others, and what it truly means to follow Christ.

Hey there, men of Sharon Baptist Church!

Our Tuesday Morning Men’s Prayer Group meets tomorrow at 6 am, and this week we’ll be reviewing John 5. 📖☕

This chapter gives us a powerful look at who Jesus is and the authority He has:

- Jesus heals a man who had been unable to walk for 38 years, showing His compassion and power.
- The healing leads to conflict because it takes place on the Sabbath, opening a deeper discussion about Jesus’ relationship with the Father.
- Jesus explains that He has authority to give life and to judge, making a clear statement about His divine identity.
- Jesus points to the witnesses that confirm who He is, including John the Baptist, His works, the Father, and the Scriptures.

John 5 challenges us to look beyond simply knowing Scripture and recognize the One to whom Scripture points: Jesus Christ.

Hey there, men of Sharon Baptist Church!

Our Tuesday Morning Men’s Prayer Group meets at 6 am, and this week we’ll be reviewing Mark 2. 📖☕

This chapter is packed with powerful moments that reveal both the authority and compassion of Jesus:

* Jesus heals the paralyzed man, first forgiving his sins and then restoring his body, proving that He has authority over both sin and sickness.

* Jesus calls Levi (Matthew) to follow Him, reminding us that Jesus came to seek sinners, not the self-righteous.

* Jesus answers questions about fasting and teaches that He came to bring something new through the Gospel.

* Jesus declares that He is "Lord of the Sabbath," showing that God's commands were given for our good and that Christ is greater than religious tradition.

Mark 2 reminds us that Jesus has the power to forgive, transform lives, and call each of us to follow Him with wholehearted faith.
