Our call isn’t to sameness but to listen deeply, trusting that God’s voice speaks through varied accents and experiences.

Surely, it can't be a miracle. Surely, it can't be God's in breaking. There must be some other rational, reasonable explanation because, well, if it's God's in breaking, then that is scary. And if God is right there with me, then maybe God's going to ask something of me. And if God asked something of me, then maybe I would have to follow through. But God continues to break into the midst of our confusion and our divisions, and to remind us that we are truly one, that there is so much more that brings us together than that which takes us apart.
