We’re still overwhelmed by what God did and how He moved through City Serve yesterday.
We had the honor of repairing the home of a family member of one of our incredible LifeBridge volunteers, spending time with residents at an assisted living facility by playing bingo, painting nails, praying with them, and simply listening to their wisdom and stories. We were also able to serve their staff a meal as a small way of saying thank you for all they do. Meanwhile, another team was at Molly’s Bridge putting in some serious yard work to help prepare for a new fence, while a team stayed right here at LifeBridge, cleaning up our property, writing cards, and preparing food for all of the volunteers who served throughout the day.
But one of the sweetest parts of City Serve is getting to watch families choose to be selfless and serve together. There is something so beautiful about our kids getting to see that being the church means loving our neighbors, showing up for people, and using what we have to bless others.
We are humbled and deeply moved by God’s kindness and by the opportunity He has given us to serve our city in these ways. Thank you, LifeBridge family, for showing up and loving our community so well.
And thank You, Jesus, for allowing us to be a small part of what You’re doing in Savannah. 🤍
