Today was a powerful reminder of what is possible when a community comes together with compassion and purpose. ❤️
The Stand Down for Homelessness brought together veterans, community members, service providers, volunteers, and partners committed to ensuring that no one faces homelessness alone.
The Salvation Army of Savannah would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Chatham-Savannah Authority for the Homeless, WorkSource Georgia, Savannah State University, American Legion, and the countless volunteers, and organizations who gave their time, resources, and hearts to make today such a tremendous success.
Most importantly, thank you to the veterans and individuals we had the privilege of serving today. Your courage, sacrifice, and dignity matter.
When we work together, we can do more than meet immediate needs; we can create pathways to hope, stability, and a stronger future.
This is what community looks like. This is what it means to serve. And this is what happens when we choose to love our neighbors well. ❤️
