From Rev Lisa : "Interdependence harkens back to one of the principles we used for many years to describe our faith tradition: Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part. And it is one of the values we currently lift up when describing our faith tradition (justice, equity, transformation, pluralism, interdependence and generosity with love at the center).

Interdependence is also an integral part of our everyday lives and our very survival. Our bodies are an intricate collection of interdependent parts and systems. Interdependence underpins our global economies–when they’re healthy and functioning. Likewise our communities, neighborhoods, families. "

Beloveds, if you are able, I hope you will watch this Sunday as NASA launches their Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, designed to explore some of the universe’s biggest mysteries, including dark energy.

The telescope is named for lifelong and devoted Unitarian and later Unitarian Universalist, who was also NASA’s first chief astronomer, Nancy Grace Roman. A longtime member of the River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation RRUUC in Bethesda, MD, Roman was as committed to serving her community, especially around issues of poverty and food insecurity, as she was to fearlessly advancing science in her role at NASA.
