First Presbyterian Church, Savannah, TN First Presbyterian Church, Savannah Tennessee welcomes, and invites you to come and worship the Most High God every Sunday morning at 9:30am.

First Presbyterian Church began in 1830, and the first building was just east of the Cherry Mansion. In 1878, the church moved to the location across the street, which is now the new city park. The Church finished the present building in 1906. We celebrate the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of each month. “The Lord Jesus Christ instituted this supper during the tune of the passover just prior t

o His arrest and subsequent death (Matt. 26:26-29; Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:19,20, 1 Cor. 11:23-25)

“Presbyterians are confident that their form of church government is the closest approximation to the apostolic church. Christ is seen as the head of the church (Eph. 1:22,23). He exercises His rule of the church through His word and Spirit and through the ministry of men (Eph. 4:10-12). The term "Presbyterian" is derived from the word "presbytery." Presbyterianism means "a rule of the presbyter (elders).”“Presbyterianism is a denomination with a rich heritage - namely one that stands upon the never changing foundation of God's Word.”
“We are a people who give praise, glory, and honor to the providential God who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. And we are a people who are dedicated to the task of bringing every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. We live for one purpose - to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
