Our Spirituality and Grief Group at Asbury Memorial Church is now open for registration.

This is a 7-week support group meeting on Thursdays at 6:00 from September 17 through October 29th. The group is inspired by the book, The Spirituality of Grief by Fran Tilton Shelton. If you receive the Asbury Update newsletter, please look for the article about this book, the group, and the experience of grief.

The group includes creative activities and spiritual practices for the grief journey. The final meeting of the group will be an intentional walk in nature.

We recommend members of this group be at least 6 months out from the loss of their loved one.

Wesley Oak and Asbury are committed to this path of offering an affirming, nonjudgmental place of worship for people who have been exiled from other churches by force or choice. We are a haven for the disillusioned, deconstructing, and disenfranchised.

If you are seeking a space to develop community, to worship without judgment, to safely figure out what you actually believe, or just to sit in an affirming space, please try either of our churches to see if you would like to walk along your faith journey with us.
