Saint George's Episcopal Church has been a fixture on the southside of Savannah since the early 1960's. We are one of almost 70 Episcopal congregations that make up the Episcopal Diocese of Georgia, founded in the 1800's and a part of the larger world-wide Anglican Communion. We are

Mixed emotions today as we celebrated our last service with Fr David Lemburg. We wish Fr David and his family all the best as they finalize their move to Little Rock, Arkansas.

Fr David was the 8th Rector of St. George’s. He served with us almost eight years, from September 2018 through today.

The service included the blessing of neo-natal caps, chemo caps and blessing blankets made by dedicated members of St George’s.

Fr David was presented a gift from the parish by our Sr Warden. After the service, we did what we do best…eat! A covered dish feast was enjoyed by all!!

…Gospel reading in multiple languages … This year we had: Czech, Māori, Hungarian, English, German, Spanish, French and a new constructed language, Sanfreihan!
