In 1885, the east side of Savannah, Georgia was lacking in opportunities to affiliate as a faith community, which is necessary to the fulfillment of a good Christian life. Through the divine providence of Almighty God, one of His chosen few, Reverend William Gray, was anointed to fill the void in religiosity. Father Gray, a member of the historic First Bryan Baptist Church, sought and obtained the

permission and blessing of First Bryan, to start a church on the east side. Reverend Gray established the St. The congregation of former slaves erected the original church building at 526-28 Hartridge Street, in July, 1891. A terrible fire on October 24, 1993 destroyed the original building. Initially, the congregation was overwhelmed by the devastation, but soon realized, as Pastor Brown said, “After all, the church is really not brick and mortar, but the church is people.” Thereafter, St. John dedicated itself to the continued uplifting of God’s kingdom on earth, wherever they worshipped. Their place of worship while the new “Mighty Fortress” rose from the ashes, was the West Broad Street Seventh Day Adventist Church. The situation revealed the ability of God’s children to worship under the same roof, regardless of denomination. St. John has had only five pastors since its inception: Father Gray; Rev. E.O.S. Cleveland; Rev. Cameron Alexander; Rev. Matthew Southall Brown; and the current pastor, Rev. George P. Lee III, Ph.D. Father William Gray Rev. Dr. E.O.S. Cleveland Rev. Cameron M. Alexander Rev. Dr. George P. Lee III
2005 - Present

Pastor Lee began his official duties at St. John in December, 2005. Attendance at the weekly Bible Study, known as “The Mighty Fortress Hour,” has increased from fewer than 50 to over 300 persons. Pastor Lee stresses outreach, especially to young people. Under his guidance, St. John has established ministries directed to teen-agers and college students and Fortress Fire, a young adult choir. Our Foreign Mission ministry has worked in Haiti, Mexico and Costa Rica. Home Mission works throughout the greater Savannah area, serving the homeless; operating a food pantry and clothes closet; and mentoring students at our adopted school, the East Broad Street Elementary School. John also works closely with its neighbors as an active member of the Historic Beach Neighborhood Association. Sunday worship services and Tuesday Bible Study can be viewed on the Internet at www.streamingfaith.com. Services are also broadcast on local radio stations, WSOK 1230 AM and Joy 100.1 FM. Pastor Lee takes seriously the Great Commission of Matthew 28, to go into the highways and byways making disciples. Under his leadership and anointed vision, St. John, “The Mighty Fortress,” is utilizing all avenues available in this present age, to reach the lost. In this new era of ministry, our goal is to “evangelize the sinner, edify the saints, and equip the soldiers.”

"Momma Saw The Stone Roll"
John 20:11-17, Mark 16:1-8 (NIV)

Dr. George P. Lee, III. 05/10/2026

- In these days and times, we still need women to show up. Sometimes you don't need to say anything, but just show up. In this Gospel, the women kept going and they showed up. So many times women go through in private, many times women suffer in silence. God still sees you even when you are going through and God still wants you to show up. Many times a women will keep working while going through. A woman will cook publicly and cry privately, but a woman will still show up.

1) Faith Beyond the funeral:
- Women if you keep on showing up, God will provide for you. Women you still have to move even when it hurts. The women in this text showed up. They had a test so that they could have a testimony. They still showed up even when they got to the tomb. See when you show up, God will begin to remove stuff. Women will show up even when others say your story is dead. "Everybody else saw your, but mama saw the miracle" . You need to thank God for the women in your life. Sometimes mama you don't need to do the cursing, but you need to do the covering, you need to cover your child or your children. Sometimes you need to hang up the phone and start covering your children.

2) Identity after the Resurrection:
- When Jesus revealed Himself, He revealed Himself to a hurting woman and that was Mary. You need to learn to stop cursing your hurt, because when you go through some hurt, that is when God will reveal some stuff to you. Through the hurt is when you find out who God really is. God will reveal your identity through the hurt. Mary was crying because they had taken her Lord, she was hurt, she didn't know where He was. Have you ever been hurt, looking for Jesus because you didn't know where He was? In the midst of Mary asking and crying, Mary begin to find out who she was. Jesus called Mary by name when she was going through her pain. "People called her emotional, Jesus called her by name". See everybody labeling you, but they haven't called you by your name, Jesus wants to call you by name.

3) God will flip your Faith:
- "The Stone didn't just move from the grave, it moved from her mind". The women were nosey enough to stick their head in the tomb. God had flipped her Faith.

4) The Legacy of a Mother:
- A real Mother doesn't just produce children, she produces endurance. Your mother didn't just raise a King or a Queen, she raised a Survivor.

What's In Your Wallet"
John 21:1-7 (NIV)
11:00a.m. Worship Experience
Dr. George P. Lee, III. 05/03/2026

- In this post resurrection series, Jesus was still showing Himself to the Disciples. Peter was the boat all night long, but didn't catch nothing, he fished all night long and still didn't catch nothing. That's why you have to be careful because you never know when Jesus will show up. Jesus told the disciples to cast their net on the Right side. When they cast the net on the Right side, the net was so full. If the Lord has His hands on you, you never know when He's gone show up. When Jesus shows up, don't let Him catch you with your work undone.

1) You’re not stuck—you’re deployed:
- Alot of us think that you are stuck, but you are not stuck, God is trying to deploy you. God was making Peter and them Fishers of men. God's delay is not denial, you have to learn how to wait on God.
There are people who will follow you and that's why you have to becareful about what you say and what you do. The Lord had His hand on Peter and no matter how much Peter messed up, God kept His hand on Him. God has His hands on you and He has a hedge of protection around you.

2) Headlines inform—but the Spirit TRANSFORMS:
- When you have the Spirit, when you have the Holy Ghost, the Spirit transforms. You are not who you used to be if you only knew where the Lord has brought us from. There was transformation in Peter when you step over to the book of Acts. See Jesus will keep showing up for you until you get it right. Jesus kept showing up for Peter so that he could get at right before Jesus left.

3) You’re not a spectator—you’re a SPEAKER:
- I don't need spectators, I need people who know how to speak Life over me. Life and death is in the power of the tongue. You've got to learn how to speak over your life and over your situation. Open your mouth and speak over your life. You've got power when you know who you are. See Jesus showed Peter, you've got to know who you are, cast your net on the Right side. In the book of Acts, they were on one Accord. Sometimes Jesus won't show up until you are one accord.

4) You’re not here to catch fear—you’re here to cast it out:
- See the disciples were still operating in fear. See the reason why they didn't catch nothing at first was because they still had fear. God has not given us the Spirit of fear. When they got to the shore, fish and bread was already at the shore. You can't deal with Jesus if you ain't got nothing to bring. See when you learn how to give, you can get more. Jesus already has what you need.

5) What scares others… should signal you:
- When things start happening, that should signal you to get ready for what God is getting ready to do. Lift your eyes unto the hills from which comes your help and all of your help comes from the Lord.

6) Information informs. Revelation transforms:
- See news is information, but the Bible from Genesis to Revelation is Revelation and Navigation. Let the Lord order your steps. The Lord will direct you in the right steps. What's In your wallet, I've got love in my wallet, I've got scriptures in my wallet, I've got Peace in my wallet, I've got Faith in my wallet, what's In Your wallet?

"I Thought You Locked The Door"
John 20:24-29 (NIV)
11:00a.m. Worship Experience
Dr. George P. Lee, III. 04/12/2026

- One thing as people we don't like to do is leave the door unlocked. The disciples were afraid, they had enough since to lock the door because Jesus had just been crucified. The disciples didn't have a Ring Camera or motion sensors. Thomas was told that Jesus had risen, but Thomas wanted receipts, Thomas wanted proof.

1) Unauthorized Entry:
- These are doors that you are not supposed to enter. Jesus entered the door where the disciples were, He entered the Locked door.

2) Locked Doors and Loud Doubt:
- There are certain parts of our lives that we shield off and don't talk about. But the Lord is coming for you sooner or later. It's time to let the Lord come in so that He can sit down in the middle of your secret mess. You've Locked other people out, but the Lord is coming in. The disciples were locked up in their minds, but Jesus walked into the middle of their mess. You can't hide damage from God, you can hide it from people or your Pastor, but you can't hide it from God. When you get behind looked doors, that's when your mind will begin to play with you. Locked doors will have your mind playing tricks on you, the enemy will trick you in your head so that he can get in your heart. That is why you have to be careful what you allow to get in your head, so that it doesn't enter your heart.

3) You can be saved and still be scared:
- You need Jesus to do it today, but He may make you wait on Him. Learn to wait on God and be of good courage and He will strengthen your heart, wait on Him.

4) The doors were Locked, but the Savior Rocked:
- See the first thing Thomas said was "I thought the door was locked". Jesus will step into whatever you may be hiding in. What are you are hiding, are you hiding behind fear, are you hiding behind pain, what are you are you hiding behind? When Jesus came through the door, He first gave them Peace. Sometimes God will give you Peace before you process the Pain. Sometimes you are looking for God to move the situation, but He is trying to give you peace. Jesus will never leave you the way He found you. The Joy of the Lord is our strength. You've got to have the courage and determination to trust Him. God is not trying to punish you, but He is trying to strengthen you.
- You keep asking God for a sign, but you are a signal. Sight is for the weak. Faith is for the warriors. Stop asking God for a sign and start being a signal. God is trying to heal your heart, He wants to heal your anxiety, let God in.

"4D Ministry"
Daniel 2:19-23 (NKJV)
11:00a.m. Worship Experience
Dr. George P. Lee, III. 03/22/2026

- Daniel had to learn how to survive in a system that was not his. He had to learn how to thrive and survive in captivity.
There are times in life that when you want to be successful there are some things that you will have to deal with, but you may not like. You must learn to think of yourself more highly than what others think of you. Daniel didn't like his family being in captivity, but he had to deal with it.

1) The Dream (Revelation that Sets you Apart):
- God will reveal deep and hidden things to you. God will give you Revelation on how to deal with people and things. God has called you to do the work, He didn't call you to be a friend. God knows who you are, you know who you are, God has anointed you, but you have to wait on your appointed time. God has not forgotten about you, you've got to wait your time, God is trying to set you up.

2) The Dugeon (Pressure that tests Conviction):
- You start asking: "Why can I see what they can't?"

- God will show you stuff that your environment can't sustain, He will reveal stuff to you that is seven years ahead of time. You've got to learn to wait on God. You are not crazy, you are carrying a Revelation in a system that's built for limitations. Sometimes you've got to work now so that you can play later. When you come into your Season and your destiny, people will show up.

- God gave Daniel a dream and then he had to go into the dungeon. What happens when God shows you the palace, but then puts you in the pit. Daniel wasn't in the den for sin, but for discipline and devotion. The system punished what God approved. God wants to see if you are faithful, that is why He test you. Stop letting folks who ain't never been nowhere determine your destiny.

- Your consistency will get you targeted, but your consistency will build trust with God.

- Your family name doesn't please God, a Church name does not please God, but Faith is what pleases God.

3) The Deliverance (Power that shuts Mouths):

- When you are in the dungeon, get ready for deliverance. Daniel was in a den with lions sent to destroy him. See sometimes you have be put in situations that were meant to eat you, that was sent to destroy you. See when you are in the dungeon, God will send an Angel. See God will not move the danger, but God will make sure that the danger doesn't move you. God won't always remove you from danger, but He will remove danger's ability to destroy you. The dungeons and the lions are real, but God had to put you around them so that He can show you that He is real. God will not move your enemies, but He will put a hedge around you to protect you.

4) The Dominion (Influence that can't be Ignored):

- You asked God to move you, but God is not going to move you, He's going to bless you and prosper you right where you are. Deliverance is not the goal, God is trying to give you Dominion, He's not trying to deliver you, He's trying to position you for power. God didn't move Daniel out of the den, He Blessed Daniel right in the den. Dominion is influence that can't be ignored
You weren't just sent to survive the System, you were sent to shift the system.
