Living Looking for Jesus:

No one knows the day or the hour -- not the angels, not even the Son, but the Father only (Matthew 24:36). So how do we live in the meantime?

This Sunday we explored what it means to live looking, live alert, and live serving as we await the return of Jesus. Like Noah who kept working and obeying while the world around him remained unaware, we are called to stay faithful -- not paralyzed, not distracted, but actively pointing others toward Christ.

The bridegroom is coming. The question is not when. The question is how you are living right now.

What a powerful morning at Cross Community Church. We celebrated two baptisms, witnessed life-changing testimonies, and dove deep into Matthew 24:32-35, where Jesus invites us to learn from the fig tree and read the signs of the seasons.

Just as a farmer reads the signs of nature to know what is coming, Jesus calls us to watch for the signs of His return. He told His followers beforehand so they would not be shaken or led astray. That same promise belongs to us today. Whatever change or uncertainty you are facing, God is not caught off guard, and His words will never pass away.

Are you ready? Jesus said in Matthew 24:44 that the Son of Man is coming at an hour we do not expect. Now is the time to trust Him, tell others about Him, and live with urgency and purpose.

What happens when the lights go out and the heavens shake? Jesus told His disciples exactly what to look for before His return — and it is more glorious than we can imagine.

This week in "Signs of the Time," we explored Matthew 24:29-31 and the stunning cosmic events that will announce the second coming of Christ. Darkened skies, falling stars, and a shaking of everything we have trusted for stability — all setting the stage for the most glorious entrance in history.

But here is the word for you today: against the darkest backdrop of your life, a sign from heaven calls you to look up. Joel 2:32 reminds us that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. We are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken (Hebrews 12:28).
