Notes for tomorrow's upstairs class: Oct 27th

Good and Evil, Righteousness and Sin are core ideas not only within the biblical scriptures but within the very fabric of our world. The following podcast asks the question - What is Evil

Here are some questions that I think are worth exploring:

1. If we assume the tenant that God created everything, did God create evil?
2. Satan is referred to as the ‘Evil One’ why? And is there any chance of redemption?
3. In our world would you consider anyone truly evil?
4. They bring up the term ‘bad barrel’ and compare it to N**i Germany or the ‘Red Scare - McCarthyism’ of the 1950s. Is the ‘bad barrel’ excuse valid for people to do nothing - think about Peter and Jesus?
5. Did Jesus consider the Pharisees/Sadducees evil?
6. What is the root cause of evil?
