Next Generation Community Director

What if your work could help a child or teenager know, deep down, that they are loved by God and have a place where they belong?
Glendale United Methodist Church is seeking a Next Generation Community Director to help children, youth, and families experience belonging, grow as disciples of Jesus, and discover their gifts for serving others.
This part-time, 15–20 hours per week position provides leadership for Glendale’s Next Generation ministries, including Wednesday Thrive, Children’s Church/Kids Klub, Sunday Funday, confirmation as needed, and special opportunities for fellowship, service, and spiritual growth.
The ideal candidate will be relational, organized, inclusive, and able to equip volunteers for meaningful shared ministry. We are looking for someone who can nurture the children, youth, and families already connected to Glendale while helping create a ministry where new children, youth, and families can quickly discover that they belong.
Position Purpose:
To help children, youth, and families encounter Jesus’s radical love through meaningful faith formation, trustworthy relationships, joyful community, and a growing sense of belonging.

Worship doesn't stop when the service ends! ☀️🙌
Yesterday, our church family rolled up their sleeves after worship to pack snack packs for local students! Throughout this past month, you all generously collected food items to help local families facing food insecurity.
Because of your generosity, these packs are heading directly to schools and after-school programs so kids have what they need to focus, learn, and thrive.

What a wonderful Night to Unite!

Thank you to everyone who came out last night to share food, laughter, games, and conversation with neighbors, friends, and our Glendale family. It was such a joy to see our lawn filled with people of all ages enjoying a beautiful summer evening together.

Thank you to the many volunteers who made the evening possible. From setting up and grilling to welcoming guests, leading activities, serving food, and cleaning up, you helped create a warm and welcoming evening for our community. A special thank you to Cindy Whitaker for coordinating it all.

At Glendale, one of our five core values is Good Neighbors, and last night was a beautiful example of that value in action. Thank you for helping create a place where everyone is welcome, friendships can grow, and neighbors become community.

We loved spending the evening with all of you. See you next year! 💜🌈
