Attention Ladies!!!!

--- WEATHER UPDATE ---

In light of the current air quality advisory that has been issued through Friday, on top of the extreme heat warning that was already in play, we have decided to reschedule our ladies’ lake event to Thursday, July 23rd.

All other details for the event (as noted below) remain the same.

This is your reminder to join us this Thursday evening, July 23rd, at Joey Heath's home on Long Lake. This will be a great night of fellowship, pontoon rides, water activities, treats, and relaxation. No need to register. Details and address below.

It's going to be a hot one, but their yard is quite shaded, and we will have root beer floats!

Make sure to bring a lawn chair, water bottle (with ice), hat, and sunglasses, and anything else you need to stay cool and comfortable outside.

Since this event is a little ways out of town, carpooling is a great option. Beth Bentrud is willing to drive if anyone is interested in carpooling. She will be at Discovery Church at 5:30. She has room for up to 6 additional people (including a second back row). If you are interested in riding with her, please reply to this email. If you are willing to be a driver for others, please reply to this email, and we will coordinate groups.

*Note - So far, the weather looks good; however, since this is an outdoor event, we will cancel if it changes to a significant chance of rain, with the hope to reschedule to one of the remaining Thursdays in July.

Discovery recently hired Tate Salvevold is our Interim Worship Leader!

Here is a quick bio about Tate:

I was born and raised in Becker, MN, and my passion for worship and music began at a young age. Over the years, I’ve grown both musically and spiritually, developing a deep love for leading others into God’s presence through worship.
‍
I have been serving in worship ministry for 7 years, and it has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Whether playing guitar, singing, or helping lead a team, I love creating spaces where people can encounter God and respond to Him.
‍
In my free time, I enjoy anything competitive, spending time with family, writing music, and getting to know people. Music has always been a big part of my life, but even more than that, I’m passionate about seeing people grow in their relationship with Jesus.
‍
Serving in Worship Ministry means so much to me because it’s not just about music, it’s about pointing people to Christ. Getting to watch others connect with God, experience His presence, and grow in their faith is what inspires me every week.
