We are asking every church to urge their members to fast and pray over the next 24 hours for the healing of Ethan Blackwell. Ethan is the Youth Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church and the son of John Blackwell, Pastor of Restoration Church. Would you consider sending a message to your church members tonight or in the morning and opening your church’s doors and inviting people to come to the altar all day long to pray for the total healing of Ethan. Ethan has a very rare infection and we need the Lord to take the infection away and to stop his internal bleeding. Please use your Wednesday night prayer meeting for this purpose as well. Church Family,
We ask that you please lift Ethan Blackwell and his family in prayer tonight.

Update: Monday, October 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM ET

Ethan is still very critical. He is going to stay sedated throughout the night.
He will remain intubated as well.
No idea when any of that will change.

The CT scan showed that Ethan’s bleeding in his lungs is coming from alveoli. No idea how this happened except that it is either from the infection or inflammation.

They are changing all of his antibiotics around. He will be on five new antibiotics.

Pray these antibiotics remove this bacteria from his lungs and his bloodstream.
Pray that there will not be any additional infection location to show up.

We are taking this all moment by moment. Trusting the Lord every step of THE WAY! His way!

Urgent prayer need!!!

They are about to intubate Ethan!
He is coughing up blood.
They will do a bronchoscopy and a CT.
We need answers now as to what is going on.
Yes, we are all scared.
I am doing everything I know to do.
We are being strong and Ethan is being strong, but this is a roller coaster that we are ready to get off.
Faith over fear!!!! In Jesus name!
He was moving in a good direction and now this.
We trust you God.
Prayer warriors pray for THIS to turn around for Ethan.
Pray for wisdom for these doctors.
I could go on and on.
God, we don’t know what to do, but our eyes are on you
