Our Family and Friends Day Grand Finale kicked off at 2:30 p.m. following a wonderful time of fellowship and dinner in the fellowship hall.

Our special guest speaker was Pastor Demetrius Smith of Mount Carmel Community Church in Duncanville, Alabama. Pastor Smith is also known as the lead singer of “Blest by Four”

Our agenda guide for the afternoon was Sister Sharonda Lee, a member of Johnson Chapel AME Zion Church.

The theme for our 2026 Family and Friends Day was:

STRONGER TOGETHER: CELEBRATING FAITH, FAMILY, AND FRIENDSHIP

Devotion was carried out by Brother Kentavious Frost, Deacon Reginald Lantern, and Deacon George Fondren

We were also happy to have Brother George Dean. Brother Dean blessed us through music and helped make the occasion even more special.

Pastor Smith brought forth a powerful Word from Mark, 2:1–5, with the topic, “When Jesus Is in the House.”

What a mighty and fitting message for such a wonderful occasion!

Congratulations to the Gideon, Fondren, Lantern, Jones, and Toliver families! The trophy will continue to stay with this family!

We would like to thank everyone for your hard work, your donations, and your participation in all of the activities that took place throughout the weekend. Every contribution is appreciated. All funds raised will go toward continuing to beautify St. Peter MB Church.

Today was truly a day filled with fellowship, much laughter, fun, faith, friendship, and family togetherness. What a blessing it is when God’s people can come together and celebrate one another!

We pray that everyone has a blessed, safe, and prosperous week. Please enjoy your Labor Day holiday, and most importantly, please be safe!

What a wonderful and exciting Family and Friends Weekend at St. Peter MB Church!

After an amazing day of fun, food, fellowship, and togetherness at our church picnic on Saturday, we returned Sunday morning ready to worship and give God the praise!

Morning worship service began at 10:00 a.m. Devotion was beautifully carried out by Bro. Sammy Rudd, Sister Deborah Eppenger, and Brother Charles Fox

Pastor Odell Draper, Jr. brought forth a powerful Word from Philippians 4:19 with the topic, “God Keeps His Promises.” We were reminded that God is faithful to His promises when we follow His Word and acknowledge Him in all that we do.

Following morning worship, everyone gathered in the fellowship hall where a delicious lunch was served. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend possible. Thank you to those who planned, prepared, served, donated, and brought dishes for our Family and Friends Day Dinner. Your love and willingness to serve did not go unnoticed!

We truly appreciate everyone who played a part in making our Family and Friends Weekend such a wonderful success.

And the celebration wasn’t over yet! Our evening Family and Friends Day service began at 2:30 p.m. as we continued in worship, fellowship, and celebration.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported St. Peter MB Church during this special weekend. We are grateful for our church family, our friends, and all of the visitors who joined us.

Family, Friends, Fellowship, Food, and Faith — what a blessed weekend it has been!

What a day of fun, laughter, fellowship, togetherness, and of course, GOOD FOOD! St. Peter MB Church’s Family and Friends Day Picnic was an absolute success!

Even though it was hot, we fought through the heat and enjoyed ourselves. From the food and fellowship to the bouncers and all the fun activities, it was truly a wonderful day spent with our church family and friends.

A special thank you to everyone who helped plan, prepare, set up, and make this picnic such a success. Your hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed. Thank you to everyone who came out and participated. If you weren’t there, you definitely missed a treat!

We pray that everyone has a safe and blessed evening.

And the celebration is not over yet!
