For all those who say Christian music of today is entertainment, I say please stop gossiping about what you have not experienced.
The mega churches I attended for years had the best worship, ending with the Holy Spirit moving! People are filled with the spirit, and the altar area is filled with the power of God moving.
The newer churches have removed the altars because the people fill the area standing, kneeling, or lying on the floor before God on their faces. The spirit is moving, lives are being changed, and these reborn people are going out to share the good news with their friends and also strangers.
Are people being saved in each church? Are hands being laid on the sick? Are the results people being healed? This was the life of Jesus, seeing the results as He taught the people or just walked through the crowds. People were reborn, healed, delivered from demons, and their hearts changed. The evidence of what they experienced was there, and they lived it.
So today, after Pentecost Sunday, evaluate your life. Monday through Saturday, who do you talk to about Jesus? Take the name of someone you know who needs Jesus and begin to pray for them daily. Just one person taken into your heart, then take them to coffee, and engage with them often. Focus on this one person. Show them love, compassion, kindness! Don't just give them food, feed them a meal with fellowship! Listen to them. Ask questions of them that the Holy Spirit leads you to ask. Laugh with them, cry with them, pray for them.
The false teaching of the American Church is that it is up to the pastors to lead everyone to salvation, but it is the Christians who are to do this. The people pay the pastor to study and pray for the town so the Holy Spirit will keep the Word fresh and alive in His heart. If the people are willing to learn, they will grow in the Word, and the Holy Spirit will be able to use them.
Too many churches have stopped growing in their own hearts, and it is reflected in their church growth. So stop and ask for the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. Stop depending on the traditions of men that were set up by the standards of men of this generation. Go bad to the Word and see what Jesus. Our standard is Jesus. Remember this.
