We filled 101 back packs and were able to provide sneakers to all the children. We are so grateful for all the church groups from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut
and New York and community members that had a part of this program. 💕Plus every child received a new bed pillow and a homemade pillow case.

Each year we are invited to design a plaque to add to a wall of mission volunteers . It is fun to remember past trips and the saints who came with us and supported our efforts. It has been a productive week and we will return home tired but also glad that our efforts have made a difference ♥️

Thanks to SSUMC who offered gifts, time and talents to provide backpacks and new pillows for students who are about to start their new school year!

We rose with the sun: helped to unload the pantry delivery, readied the pillows and handmade cases for display, sorted clothes in the thrift shop, started a new ramp, insulated a room and continued to paint.. all before lunch!!

And we’re off and running (and dodging a few raindrops) as the backpacks get started, a ramp built, a new wall placed, some painting accomplished and then a grand finale of El Loteria for our after dinner entertainment!
