Students and parents are invited to our "Serve Sarasota, CLC edition;" this Saturday (9/10) at 8:00am. We'll devote the morning to being a blessing to our deacons and church by helping to do some landscaping work around the church (and some potential inside work if we have time). Please bring a long-sleeved shirt and a water bottle!

Tomorrow night is the CONNECT kickoff!!
To make sure we don't conflict with the regular scheduled children's and adult's programming happening at church, we're going to extend our time just for this week (6:00-8:30pm) to give ample time for parents to drop off and pickup for the pool party and still make it to and from church without rushing. Below are addition details to know:

DATE & TIME
Wednesday, September 7th from 6:00-8:30pm

LOCATION
The amenity center at Big Mic's Community (has pool, sand volleyball & basketball courts, bathrooms, open field...etc.)
The address is: 12505 Promenade Estates Blvd, Sarasota, FL, 34238 (5 minutes down the road from the church)

FOR WHO & HOW MUCH?
For middle and high school students
It's FREE! (and no need to sign-up or register)

FOOD
Burgers, Hot dogs, sides, drinks and dessert will be provided

WHAT TO BRING
Bathing Suit
Towel
Change of Clothes
Pool games, board games, sports balls..etc. (optional)
A friend!

BAD WEATHER
We never know what the weather will be like at this time of the year. If for some reason we need to cancel, we will have a backup kickoff event at the church from 6:30-8:00 (our normal connect time). If you don't receive an email by 3:00pm on Wednesday, that means we're going for it!

Our goal with "Serve Sarasota" is to be a blessing to local ministries and organizations. This Saturday, we'll be partnering with a local church, "Remnant Church of Sarasota." They do a great job ministering to the homeless.

WHAT WE'RE DOING?
Remnant church hosts a weekly Saturday night service for the homeless; with a dinner afterwards. We will meet before the service to get a tour, training, and introduction to what they do. Then we'll prep and get dinner ready. We will then attend the service. Afterwards, we will serve dinner and interact with the homeless people there.

WHEN & WHERE?
This Saturday, July 16th from 4:30-8:30pm
Meet at Remnant Church of Sarasota (2895 Ashton Road Sarasota, FL 34231)

WHO IS THIS FOR?
Middle and High School students as well as parents. Feel free to come serve as a family!

WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
4:30pm | Arrive for tour, training/instructions and dinner prep
5:30pm | Greet and attend service
6:30pm | Serve dinner and love on the people
8:30pm | Head home

Ok, NOW it's time for Water Wars!
This event was originally canceled in June due to bad weather. We're going to try again this Friday, July 15th from 10am-12pm. This is a free event for middle and high schoolers. Students should meet at the field next to the basketball court and wear clothes they don't mind getting wet. Students should also bring a towel and change of clothes.

Middle and high school students - join us on Friday, April 22, 6-8:30pm @ Siesta​ (meet at the volleyball nets)​. We're joining Cornerstone Church for a night of hanging out with games and worship. Bring your own dinner and drinks. Students are to stay with the group, and not wander. If your student is prone to wander, please stay to keep an eye on them as we will have limited adult supervision.
